I hate it when my wireless internet just up and stops working, and even changing the channels on it doesnt seem to help

Absolutely I will share the before and after pics. I am so lucky to have found this guy and just the hours he has put in today make it look like a different house! On the 'hate' side of this post...... I really hate the conversation I had with my father. Turns out he is expecting a check when I sell, to reimburse his help. Even though his help came in the form of Home Depot gift cards that he gets from paying off his credit card every month. I wouldn't have done any of the fixing up if I'd known that ahead of time. note to self, very wealthy people get very wealthy by being tightfisted with their money. second note to self, people do not help someone without expecting something back. If they don't expect something back then they have a personality flaw.

i hate that i have to cancel my internet access at home for financial reasons. It's the library for me for email and my friend's computer for collarme. (i'll still post but not as much.)

At home I pay $6.95 per month for dialup access (atnmaxx.com) plus about $12 for the basic phone line. Yes, I know, dialup is "slumming it", but it's cheap. Cali

sometimes dialup is all people can afford. my former isp is advertising their dialup service at 5.95/mo. With the economy going the way it is, I can see alot of people going back to it. Sure DSL is nice and super fast, but internet access is internet access.

yes i realize that but it causes so much stress and frustration and there are more disconnections...and sometimes busy signals...although these days i doubt theres enough on to cause busy signals... for double the cost you can get dsl/cable + home phone...$29 or 39 i think? at its most basic level...i havent used dialup since 1994. i would get so mad using it and the fact you cant dl anything cause it takes days for the same thing that takes 5 mins...lol... i think the cable tv-internet-phone here starts at $99. so high cause cable is the large cost and use of digital box. there are other alternatives popping up thru the internet. you couldnt pay me to use dial up.

Around here the DSL phone line is minimum $45/month plus $30 for the DSL account/access. So $75/month for DSL is more than I want to spend. Cali

i don't have a land line telephone.... i gave that up earlier. All i have is a cell phone. i was using cable internet, but now that has to go. BTW, i have not had a TV for about 5 years. fluffy

You answered your own question. It is double the cost. Some people cannot afford to double the cost on something like internet service. Its pretty simple math.. food vs fast downloading etc.

I will be very sad if I ever have to give up my DSL. I still have to use dialup for the laptop, and the difference is enormous!
