I hate that theres a guest complaint going against the hotel.. I've done everything I can, the guy lied through his teeth (says that I didn't respond to him when he complained but contiuned to work - which is BS.. I apologized myself silly, offered to change his room, apologized more.. when he walked away, I DID continue to work.. checking out the guests that were waiting for himto finish bitching). We've given him a partial refund.. not good enough.

Now I'm waiting to hear from our Reg. Mgr. to discuss what steps to take next.  *sigh*

I am sorry to hear of the irritated guest. I think some people come in looking for trouble, or a free room and will jump on any chance to get it.

I had a great experience with Laquinta myself. The room I got for a steal.I thought the room and hotel was very nice in Fort Meyers. I did have trouble of a minor sort getting towels and the last day no one cleaned my room. When I told them of this, they sent me a voucher for a free night. I giess thats what happens when you say something nicely ad not in a bitchy kind of way.

GT sweety there are just some people you can't please no matter what you do..they are determined to have a bad day. All you can do is document what you did to appease him and let corporate deal with the rest.

I hate it when I'm forced to deal with a collections type person who has decided that things must be NOW NOW NOW. And my only choices of payment are to Western Union, which charges a steep double digit fee. Another crazy payment that isn't an option, and then a money gram. But wait, I'm not currently employed so I can't do the money gram because they apparently won't believe I have the money. So gosh, can I y'know, just mail a check? Apparently no, people don't do that anymore. Or they won't accept it. Or it's just Take Too Long. I'm not really sure what's up with that. Ok fine, money gram thing.. but wait, there's a fee on THAT too! Gosh, how lovely!

It's not even a lot of money, but y'know it's just frustrating. I contact 'em, basically money in hand wanting to pay. And the most sensible two methods just aren't taken. What. The. Hell?! [>:]

i hate it that my doctor says ok time to goto a specialist, ok goto the specialist and she sends me to two more....and they send me for more test and more doctors.... so now no one is in charge of prescribing meds or for that fact making more appointments.....wtf... i fibromyaligic considered a hazzard to their license........ no one knows why my white blood counts have been way high for over a year and in fact the one who is supposed to be taking care of the situation has accidently reffered me back to the orginal doctor.... and THIS is much easier  for Who?

You hurt alot of people when you bad mouth yourself. The people whos taste you insult for caring about you and you hurt yourself. There is sooo much about you to love. I hope you'll be okay Greedy.  I LOVE LaQuinta.  I think...  I know the pool is awesome at the one in scottsdale, AZ.  For the week we were there, I spent most of my awake time in the pool, as it was comfy... that is, when we were actually at the hotel.  For the most part, we were there for about 6 hours a day, 4 of that relegated to sleep... >.<  But, what I recall from that bit of a party week, I really did love the hotel. :)

It's a difficult lesson to learn, one that I'm constantly trying to drum through my thick skull.  I've found it helps though, to look around and say "You know, I'm obviously okay...  Look at these people near me.  They're wonderful, and I doubt they'd waste their time on me if I weren't everything they say I am."

Thanks for the support, folks.. :)  My job isnt in any danger... it's just aggravating, because we generally score really high on guest satisfaction.  Since I've done all I know to do at this end, the chat with the RD is more of a formality to see what CORP. wants us to do.

and the friggin guest accused of us of KNOWING there was a problem in the room, and putting him inthere ANYWAY, and he has ALLERGIES...
Um, no, if we'd KNOWN there was a problem (the last several guests in that room never complained...go figure), the room would have been out of service.
Maybe we shoudl start requiring guests to fax us their medical records prior to checking in....*snort*

Talk to thier bloody supervisor.. ( after checking the law) In most states if they refuse a payment ~ and you are willing to pay.... then the bill is concidered paid in full.

Double check it.. and get it in writting.
