Take a deep breath, a hot bath and relax for a moment, then follow this posting one step at a time. - Tell your Ex that his not having a Job is his choice and has nothing to do with you. He needed to make the effort to keep it, find a new one and stop blaming everyone but the one person who has control over his life..HIM. If he put half as much effort into finding a job, fixing his life, or even into the marriage as he has in blaming you for his current condition things might have been different, but he didn't and that is no ones fault but his own. He made the choice and the bed, and now must lay in it.
- The operative word to the person who ripped into your journal entry is stranger. The amount of effect that person should have on your life is less than that of a crossing guard at a school entrance. Internet courage abounds and people say things often cruelly that they would never say to someone they know or don't face to face. Those who have the courage to post to their journals things that are painful and intimate give us all who care about them a chance to get to know the inner person. Unfortunately not all are interested in doing anything more than hurting another person, perhaps out of envy, or fear. Ignore them, or report them, but know they have no impact on your life.
- Barney will love you no matter what you decide...I for one would take her with me, selfishly taking every last moment I could with her. I have held furred friends as they have entered that final sleep and seen the love, understanding and forgiveness in their eyes that I could not so easily grant to myself. I have also moved with them and seen them draw their comfort from my presence. This is a choice only you and Barney can make.
- 8.5 days is plenty to get packed in, if you do not panic. I just helped to pack and move a 6 room house crammed to the sills in 12 hours. Pack what you need, put what you don't to one side and call the Salvation Army, get a receipt for the donation and take it off your taxes while knowing you have made it possible for another to have what they do not. Call a Furniture Consignment or Ebay shop to take furniture you have yet to be able to sell if you don't want to donate it... let them do the work for you.
- Remember to relax and breathe. You are moving towards a new phase of your life and you are of course both excited and scared at the same time. recognize that you are putting stumbling blocks in your way, both emotional and physical and move beyond it one step at a time. It's going to be OK...Exciting, Scary and OK. Yes you are exhausted, emotionally drained and tired..but you know what? It is almost over and you have accomplished more than you think in a very short time. In this market, getting a sale and closing this fast is phenomenal...Pat yourself on the back Luv, you are a phenomenal woman and we all recognize this. You need to as well.
