Check with the local animal shelter, many of them offer low cost vet care for those with limited funds. As I can't see from here, obviously, what kinda mass she has it is possible that it may be as simple as a hernia, a fibroid tumor or worse case scenario..cancer, but it would be kinder to know what it is so decisions can be made. We owe them that much for all the love and loyalty they give us. Ebony is 13 or 14 years old ( they weren't quite sure of her age when I adopted her) has worn down most of her teeth, is mostly blind and deaf, and getting senile, struggles to get up and down, though once she is up she can move faster than molasses when pushed. She forgets which way the back door opens, is terrified of everything around her and has been incontinent more than once. She goes days without drinking or eating, and sleeps when given the chance 20 hours a day. We know the day is coming. We are spending as much time with her as possible and she with us, resting her head in our laps. It is the saddest part of having a furred family member, and the best for we will do for them what we are constrained from doing for our flesh and blood who may be suffering. It is never easy and we hate it. Good luck... poenkitten
