Gwyn, you ever think of taking up boxing for fitness?  All the moves of boxing but no actual fighting if that's not your thing.  I think it would be a very healthy way for a pregnant woman to get a good cardio workout AND get out alot of frustration!  Get some handwraps, 14oz gloves and a free standing bag, look up proper stance and start slammin' away!

And yet the Poen would like to turn you over her knee for accepting mediation (no body wins) and not insisting on a court date in the future. You were effectively evicted by the woman and her son, your roommate posed a danger to your UM you should have ended up owing her nothing. It is illegal to assess the fees she was trying to assess when you were late with the rent. If I had known about this court date in enough time I would have been there to help you. I hate when people take advantage of others while they are struggling on the rocks. It brings out my fangs and claws.

Kali a huge hug to you about your thoughts of yesterday. I am however going to make a suggestion to you that I made to someone else the other day, and have used in the past myself.

Make a Voodoo doll of the JAMF out of gingerbread (no it doesn't actually have to look like him) ..put all your feelings about him into it..every erg of it. Bake it slowly and don't burn it..despite the urge to do so... let it cool.

Walk this cookie outside  and destroy it, one crumble at a time, releasing the anger as you do so, and knowing that the ants will continue your revenge as you are cleansed of the anger.

I have also made hate bread...kneading the anger into the dough..baking it and then disposing of it after it bakes. No one should ever eat anger or hate...it should however be disposed of.

I hate when threads disappear, even for snarkiness. While the snarks are not missed, often valid, rational posts are also lost, that could potentially help another if not the OP. I wish the Mods would delete the Snarks if need be and not the entire thread (though I am sure it would be harder) . Most of us are pretty good at skimming past the snark and finding the pearls and meat.

*smiles* When I was on the force I used to do kick boxing.. I have no idea where my gloves ran off to. It raises my blood pressure too much for right now.. and I have no place to hang a bag unfortunatly.

I am doing gentle yoga, stretching, and lots of walking. ( as Tulip about my mad fast walking skills.. poor thing. ) Hey these long legs gotta be good for something.

With the change in my diet ( cutting out soda and coffee, and most of the bad for ya stuff) and adding more excercise... I have actualy lost a total of 7 lbs over the last 15 weeks even with the baby. I feel much healthier.. I just wish my back and hip didnt hurt so dang much.

The facility I work in is huge so I walk about 1 - 1 1/2 miles a day even with out my eve walks around my neighborhood. plus all of the grapefruit I am eating/drinking helps with the fat intake what little there is.

I am even doing daily stretches at my desk at work. I have gotten a bunch of people addicted to it. *smiles*

I love being active. I will sew to release my fustrations.. and clean the house.. those are the best ways to get the ick out for me.

It's smart.. you'd know when my Mimi was pissed about something.. every thing would gleam from ceiling to floor. ( Boy could that lil woman scrub walls, and floors!) and there would be a cobbler on the windowsill.

Your eyes would hurt from all the shiney stuff in the kitchen.. woo.

I think she was 4'8 but she could reach *everything* in that house. She was also the scariest person I have ever known. I would rather get into a biker bar brawl... then make her upset. She is who gave me my spine.

Her husband hit her once.. just once.. and she waited till he fell alseep, and poured sand into a water hose and beat the snot out of him. He never laid another hand on her again.

Who needs a pan of hot grits when you got that? *chuckles* which is what my friends at work think I should do to Daddy-o. LOL

Good for you, Gwyn!!!!!!!
I mentioned a free standing bag, not a hanging bag :)
You should get the one in the shape of a man & put a pic of Daddy-O on it.
Kickboxing is great, isn't it?  My coach is starting to implement the kicks/back swings into my workout and I love it! I sweat so much that I have to hang up my workout clothes to dry out before I put them in the hamper!

*smiles* I have zip for room.. I have to go outside of my apt. just to change my mind. *chuckles*

I loved it so much. It is a lot of fun.. and you sweat a whole lot as you said.. you are realy using most of your body so it is a great work out.

It is one of the reasons why I miss horseback riding.. it is a full body work out.. enjoyable.. and you are spending it in nature with a wonderful animal/companion. Plus the added work out of mucking stalls, Feeding them, bathing and grooming.... and training.. well... there is no way of staying out of shape with having a horse.

I miss it badly. Hopefuly I can do that again after the baby.. and after finances are better. I envy those who live on farms.

Gwyn

I envy them too, Gwyn! I HATE living in the city :(((((((((
I need to find a Dom on a farm!
Every year when I take my vacation during summer break, I like to take my oldest grandum w/me if only for a few days. I was looking around for 2009's vacation and saw this site http://www.ridewva.com/horseback_overnight.shtml and thought seriously about doing the Overnight trip w/him.  I've never camped out before/this sounds like the perfect place to start! I know it's only for 1 night, but after that we'd go to the beach for a few days. There's a beach that's about a 3 hr drive from me that has wild horses/I've always wanted to visit.

*pouts* I wanna go.. but good gods I would have to lose weight first. LOL

They must have them scrawny horses or somethin' LOL

That sounds wonderful... and I bet an outdoorsie kid would love it.. my um would be in pure heaven. He *loves* camping and horses even more. That would be a realy great vacation hun. I would do some horse back riding before then... just so you have your "seat" and know what 4 hours in the saddle is like. For folks not used to it.. that is a hell of a long time up there.

At the old ranch we used to ride at where I was purchasing a horse before the economy went south.. there was an emu that fell in *looooove* with my um. All he had to do was sit down some where.. and the dern thing would come over.. flop down beside him.. and put her head in his lap. Funniest thing you ever did see.. He was her soul mate. LOL I know wrong thread.. but I love to watch my um take care of animals, pet them.. and love them. He is so gentle.. and kind to them. Even the semi feral pigs, and pigglets would follow him around like puppies out there. I usualy just get that with horses. Never had to "catch" one. They were always right there looking over my shoulder... or slobbering on me.

Gwyn,
Misses her therapy/sanity time with horses.

I *hate* that the landlady is having the house painted. I was in the bathroom, and a pair of feet walked right by the window... I almost peed all over myself.

I hate that you just caused me to spray light cranberry juice all over my monitor...

I also hate that it looks like Master won't be getting home until Tomorrow since they sent him back to ALL the FLIPPING sites he just finished to Add Mini servers and extra cable. Why the hell can't they ever get it together and give him ALL the specs and needs so he can only havew to do the sites once. When we went to California, he gave up half his weekend going back to change information in all the sites he did between LA and Tulare, because they gave him the wrong time to put into the units for them to call in to the server. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH..

Sigh there go plans for Aquatica on Saturday...sigh
