Actually as far as Bankruptcy court is concerned, they will probably NOT touch the settlement. since vehicles and houses are exempt from seizure in the proceedings. To make payments one must be able to work and have a roof over their heads, in this case they would allow you to be made whole (get a car) so you can continue to make scheduled payments. Speak with your trustee and be sure to explain that it would allow you to keep your current employment and potentially obtain better employment and therefore be able to settle with your creditors more equitably.

If you have not already filed the papers..then, you can make yourself whole prior to doing so..by obtaining a vehicle.

Now, if you sue her in civil court for the balance as well as pain and suffering THAT award outside of medical bill payoff will probably go to your creditors. Consult a lawyer to be certain.

Don't forget the Space Coast includes more than Daytona. Parrish Hospital is among the best around, and  there are more than a few Hospitals as well as medical centers here. BlackPhx and I live here and housing is not as costly as in The Orlando and the Tampa area. Heck we still have houses for sale here in the 50$s

I hate that while I have been moved for almost two months now. I'm still having a rough time and I still miss someone I shouldn't and every once in awhile I have a really hard night where I lay down to sleep and all there are, are thoughts that make it hard to breathe or that make me cry.
