Status: offline 		i hate that i'm so anal about being on time to things that i'm usually really early.  i leave an hour early for work every morning (it takes 15 minutes to get there), just in case something happens that would make me late.  sometimes it makes for very long days.

I know what you mean....on Sat mornings, I'd get up at 4am when I wasn't due at the station until 7am just because I wanted to make sure nothing happend that would make me late...........and I live TWO MINUTES away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Status: offline 		Savage breathe easily dear..Wamu is a federally insured bank. This means that your deposits are insured up to 100,000. Like the bank that failed in California in June or July, the doors will probably be closed for 1 day while the feds move in and get things in order and then it will be business nearly as usual for about a week. Things until then will probably be a little more difficult, but that shouldn't last more than a couple of days.

The biggest problem is not knowing which Bank is solvent and which is having trouble. I bank on Bank of America not only because it has branches or atms everywhere, but because so far they have been pretty solvent and actuially in a position to buy other banks.

Good luck..and hang in there, most of all don't panic..if SSI doens't get the money into one bank it will be in the other...and you WILl have access to it.

Status: offline 		I just wanted to update everyone about my work situation. Things are smoothing out. The students are behaving and the student that I had the scuffle with never filed a complaint. He thought he had it coming. He thought the students that filed complaints were making a big deal out of nothing. And told them. So all in all I see this as a learning experience where I can become a better teacher.
