[quoteRight now, the whole ball of my foot is in so much blister pain that the itching seems like nothing. Red, who may use her electric carving knife to get some relief before I get to the hospital or urgent care this evening [/quote] A Mud pack of Oatmeal is very good on poison ivy and it's ilk, it absorbs the oils that cause the irritation to begin with and soothes the skin. MIlk is also very good fro washing the area before treatment. Water spreads the oils from the plants poison, milk fats lift it away in the washing, Vinegar will do the same. A Fall Warning to all my friends and others... When doing gardening outside and ripping up weeds..make SURE you know what Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac look like. Use gardening gloves or disposable gloves to handle them and Do Not..I repeat DO NOT toss them on a pile to burn. The smoke from burning Poison Oak, Ivy and Sumac carries the irritant oils, they are not destroyed and they can be inhaled as minute particulates. A Friend of mine made this mistake years ago and we had to rush him to the hospital where they kept him for a week trying to get the irritation of his lungs under control. Feel better soon Red..and No Scratching... poenkitten
