Did a sleeper car once when I was a kid... that was lovely but these days, between the cost of the ticket, food and time these days, flying still comes out cheaper for me.

I am also old enough to remember when Trailways and Grayhound had deluxe service bus's that included an attendant AND food/drink and when Airplanes also included dinner, drinks and movie in your ticket price as well as your luggage.

A for the good ol days.. when flying the friendly skies, was.

Hey Red..appearances to the contrary I am not always nice in how I complement, chide or encourage people, just ask Gwyn. [:D] I only allow people very, very short pity parties before I kick start them in da butt.

Greedy..always remember you would never know the joys of life, if you did not have the pains to contrast them. Yeah..doing the right thing can hurt sometimes, but doing the wrong hurts a whole lot more and longer. VP already know this..and she will make it...and do it all over again.

LadyH you can hate the gym for me [:D] parts of me hurt that I didn't even know I had nerve endings in. Who says you get addicted to this stuff?

I am not HATING, but I am Deeply Annoyed that my little SHIT of a parrot beaked me TWICE.  I have BLEEDING WOUNDS.   We have made it up, he was behaving out of some kind of hormonal nest-building behavior.  Le Sigh.  The dangers of cohabiting with large wild creatures...

I empathize with you and wish I could quit, but I have got to get my weight and blood sugars under control. The neuropathy is driving me nuts.

As for feather head perhaps he needs to be reminded whose da mommy. I had an African Gray I hand reared and he seemed to think he was king of the animals in the house and had pecking authority over every one including me... He changed his mind on that last one, one thanksgiving when I was prepping the turkey for the oven and he decided to explore the inside of the bird and the stuffing. I removed him and showed him the warming oven and then put the turkey in it as he watched from  my shoulder.. a couple of clucks and a whistle of alarm and he stayed out of my way the rest of the day and showed me more respect afterward for some reason.

Avalon could recite entire phone calls and theme songs from TV shows, but refused to learn to say: "Tiny Drumsticks" or "Microwave Me" for some reason. I miss dat boid.

Hang in there Imp...you are not the only one. Had a friend toss a toy spider at me over a free wall between a kitchen and living room. You know the type you put plants on? Well it landed on me and I being the sweet gentle arachnophobe I am screamed, grabbed the nearest person (His teen daughter) and started to beat the spider to death with her (ok I dragged her on top of it...didn't actually pick her up more than enough to drop her on top of it)..He yelped and yelled it was a toy before I could complete my move. For some reason he never did that again.

Hate on da Spiders...Hate on dem LOTS!

LOL!  I used to say "PARROT FRICASSEE!" to Jeddie when he was a monster, but I guess he knows who realllllllly loves him.  He was very contrite, and we made up while I was on the phone with R.   He began sucking up instantly, so he knows I was displeased.   Poor birdo!

Yeppers.. she usualy give you a wee bit of time to langiush in your own shit.. then slaps you upside the head with the 100% honest truth and facts that your ass should have been looking at in the first place.

We call her the Bubble Buster. But it is very handy when the shit hits the fan.
