Okay kids... back from court. He didn't show. (yay!) I still had to discuss everything that happened with the judge, in a packed courtroom. At the end of it all, the judge summarized it with (yes, a direct quote), "Well, he's just a big jerk, isn't he?" I replied, "Yes, Your Honor." Because it's basically a harrassment issue and not a physical violence issue, he gave me a one-year restraining order (instead of a three-year order). I'm satisfied with that. Cali

Thank you, Poenkitten. I will do as you suggest. It not that he won't come back, he is in one state and I am in another. Due to cercumatanses beyond both of our control, I haven't seen him in a while. I was feeling sorry for myself. It is good to know that I came come here and find friends who will understand. I hate it when Thing 2 no sooner got to school today then the nurse was calling her dad to come pick her up from school. He brought her home to be with Grandaddy and slept much of the day. She's had some ibuprofen, some water, a cool bath, some cartoons, and is waiting for dinner to be finished. My poor little Thing, she always looks so pitiful when she's sick. [sm=frown.gif]

awww....big ass hugs to Red and her Things i hate that somethings in life take so much time, i hate that i can want something so badly and yet on some level apparently not be prepared to make those changes. i hate that the realizations i had today while painful as hell, were necessary. i hate that i can have so much intellectual insight and yet those thirteen inches (from my head to my heart) are what can kill me. i hate when He's sick. i hate that my therapist gave me more than one homework assignment for this next week, and that one of them is to drive. Thank you, ladies. Her fever is down a bit, so that's a good thing. She's just kinda hanging out in Mommy's bed. DaddyBoo came over for dinner and helped me finish getting it ready. He cut a big chicken leg for Thing 2 and sent it in to her. [:)] Bless her heart. I told her that it came from Him and she said, "Thank him, ok?" then lay back down. (Thing 1 was circling her chicken leg like a bird of prey, but he was warned, and opted for his own dinner.) [:D]
