I hate it when I've avoided a cold so far this year (not counting that little week-long bout with laryngitis, which I think alot of people appreciated since it limited my ability to TALK) and some schmoe asks me how I've managed to avoid it when everyone else is sick, and I answer "cuz I'm too damn mean for a cold to take hold", and she says, "oh no, it's karma, you must be a VERY SWEET person, that's why you haven't gotten it" and SUMBITCH... not one hour later a fever descends upon my glistening brow, the joint aches settle in, my sinuses start filling up with icky stuff... yes I HATE IT when someone invokes karma and good old Miss Karma says "hey!  I've been slacking off, I'm going to go visit Cali and slap a cold on her!" and I hate it when I post a run-on sentence and can't seem to stop, and I hate it when I'm going thru kleenex faster than a wanker watching porn and all I really want to do is go home and go back to bed and have some big cuddly warm person wrap themselves around me so I can snuggle in and sleep. Sigh.

I hate it when there's an opportunity to snuggle with Cali on a mutual suffering basis (I've got GT's shitty cold, so we could hit the tissues together) but some bloody ocean sticks itself in between.

I hate it when I give dear friends miserable colds.

I also hate it when people want to check in to the hotel with a credit card and no photo ID..and get pissy because I won't accept the card without the ID.
