That's my biggest fear w/my grandums, especially my oldest 'cuz he's in elementary school & I don't think his beautiful smile will stop a bullet. Thankfully my daughter/son-in-law have put me as the "Emergency Contact" so I'll always know if he needs me.

I hate when CM makes me think I'm losing my mind! Earlier today I spent a bit of time writing a response to someone, now I can't remember if I sent it CMail or in forum but it doesn't matter because I can't find a trace of it except in notepad! No thread... no CMail.

Maybe I've had too much Halloween candy but there is the chance that aliens have taken over my brain.

I hate it when I finally get a long-term contract but my start date is delayed because the employer uses a slow-as-shit service to do the background check.

I really really hate that I can't be cloned right now. My Mother-in-law is threatening to die again tonight & I need to be there with my ex-husband & his sister. I also need to be in Idaho with my daughter for her surgery on Monday. I really need to be here so that I can do job interviews next week. And I would love to be in the hospital taking care of my best friend who's having surgery on Monday too. I'm not even going to mention the great-niece who's having surgery on Monday!!

Yes, I'll get to Chelsea & be with her for the surgery. But first, a side-trip to the ex. I love him & his family & they're like my family. I always said that his mom was the mom I'd always wanted. When I divorced him, I didn't divorce his family. I took care of her for 4 months last year when we didn't think she'd make it & I got a lot closer to her. So I need to be there too, if only for tomorrow.

fair enough. i get the love of the ex mum in law. i divorced my ex, his family wasn't included in that deal! i lived with my mum-outlaw for a large part of my marriage, so she's a lot closer to me than my own mum is. can't say i'm at the point where i'd say i still love my ex though.

I've loved the ex for nearly 35 years now & I'm pretty sure that's not going to stop now. But we're more like brother & sister or best friends than anything else these days. When I hear the tears in his voice, I just have to go hold him. He has nobody else to do that. If the shoe was on the other foot, he'd hold me too. Family's family whether you share DNA or not, IMO. Tis why I wanna be cloned!!

we can draw the water out by hand for bathing (after heating it on the stove)...but sheeesh...what a pain in the ass. And it is the weekend so there is not too much we can do till Monday. You do not realize how wonderful it is to turn on a faucet until you can't.
