Ok, probably best if I don't do it then.  Not only am I fairly certain I wouldn't be able to keep hush, I'm even more certain that things would spew out of my mouth that no judge would tolerate in court ..*sigh*

I wonder if I could qualify for Big Sister?

GT, you can be my big sister, as long as you realize that makes me the bratty little sister.  [;)]

LMAO, i can soooooooo relate to Your sentiments there!! Cussing like a yard dawg, smacking my lips, rolling my eyes, stomping my feet, and making overtly pfffffffft noises usually resulted in a sten warning from the judge, and once he even asked if i had a fur ball lodged in my throat!!

i imagine You would be a stellar Big Sis!!

The judges I worked for were, at times, rather testy.  Once, the chief judge didn't have a document she needed in the courtroom and recessed for 5 minutes to come into the clerk's office to find it.  She bellowed like a banshee, "All Right!  Who the fuck didn't put the form in this file before it was given to me, therefore making me look like an asshole in open court??!!!"  Pretty fair to say that none of us were raising our hands, admitting to anything.  The Chief Clerk did remind the judge that the microphone to the counter and hallway was on and that everyone in the corridor could hear her.  (Not smart.)  She turned to the CC and said, "Did I fucking ask you???!!!"  (I went to my office and shut the door...  she scared me.  She also had a sign in her chambers that said, "Obedient women are never remembered in history.")  If she had thigh high leather boots under her robe and a bullwhip, it wouldn't have surprised me.

Yes Cali. [sm=Groaner.gif]He hasn't anywhere to go so he is here. The good news is that he is working on the house.More good news is that he is a good cook. The bad news is that it makes me feel horrible inside knowing that I'm harboring a fugitive and that is stronger than any of the good news could ever be.   ETA*gathers up all the noisy peeps and slips Cali more nyquil* Aw being sick and not being able to rest sucks.

He is your ex. Why do you do these things? You are an enabler and he will never become a responsible adult until you cut the cord. You really need to go to AL-ANON for family members. learn to stop enabling him and learn to gain a backbone.

he should not have a place to go. he should go to jail, like he is suppose to./ Its called accepting responsibility for your actions.
luscious, I do appreciate the concern but he is not an alcoholic. He isn't even a drinker on a regular basis. This is his first DUI, at the age of 45 (ticketed on his birthday actually, coming home from his party) so AlAnon is totally unecessary. Yes he is my ex and yes we can drive each other crazy, but we are also good friends and he needed some help. We were awful married to each other but pretty good friends which took a lot of work. Why burn the bridges to someone you spent so much of your life with?  That just isn't my way, ex or not. It is not a matter of my being spineless. I would help anyone who needed it and especially someone I was married to for 20 years.  I couldnt convince him to do it the right way but I also won't turn him away from my door.

CalifChick -> RE: I hate it when........ (4/13/2008 4:08:22 PM)

Well, Camille, when they show up at your door and ask if he is there, please say "yes".  Otherwise they'll haul you in for harboring a fugitive.

I didn't break my foot on a dirt bike or quad, it was just an accident with one of my horses who mis-stepped and I didn't move out of the way fast enough, thats all.

I can empathize..........I did that last month. And wrenched my knee in the process when I tried to pull back with him still standing on my foot. The knee is back to normal but the foot is still a little tender on top.

They have FOUR freaking feet! Why do they feel the need to stand on one of ours???

I'm glad to hear your knee is feeling a lot better, I'm sorry to hear though that the top of your foot is still tender.  At first they didn't think I had broken anything but the second set of x-rays show definate breaks two of metatarsals and a crack in the other.  If you haven't you might have that looked at again.

As for horses having 4 feet and feeling the need to stand on 1 of ours I almost choked on my tongue because I said something very much along those lines to Jackson...[sm=wtf.gif]

LaTigresse -> RE: I hate it when........ (4/14/2008 12:09:07 PM)

Yes, and the mennonite man that shoes my horses may have learned a few new curse words he had not previously heard before.

As for going to the doctor............I save that for those life threatening events like blood spurting copiously, bones poking through the skin, extended high fevers with convulsions, etc etc etc...... I am a terrible patient. [:D]
