ORIGINAL: LumusandtheLady You can do this, SF, you can. Lumus quit in July and is maintaining it. He used some pill initially for a few days but it really messed with him and he didn't like how it made him feel so he stopped it and just went quit cold turkey. The difference has been amazing!!! He'd been smoking for 18 years. His quitting has affected him, me, our apartment, all for the better. (Mostly, though he does have his nic fits and grumpy days still.) We recently found out cigarette smoke causes sinus problems for me. And here we just thought it was local allergies when I first moved here! Feel free to cmail me if I can do anything to encourage you. BTW, LOVE the kitty in the pic! Rain° I rain. I too am hesitant to chemical drug prescriptions. I already take wellbruitin 300mg. because well Im crazy LOL . which is twice the dose normal people get, its been wonderful helping me get down to a low level (zyban is the same) and when I started had hope it would do the job, but just cut me down to a really low need for it. I dont have much of a support group, my siste who I live with that is a non smoker, yet when I mentioned Im getting cold feet her comment is "if you cant you cant"
