Yesterday a second actress dropped out of Switch flying out to Spain for Christmas, saying that she'll be back Dec 29. Back in the UK perhaps, because she's not coming back to the theatre. I've now got two suspended productions, nothing much to show for 2008, and I'm under pressure for the entry deadline for FringeNYC as I cannot resume rehearsals until the actress who's mother died comes back after arranging her mother's funeral and mourning.

Charing Cross Hospital mixed up the dates of my December appointment, telling me that my appointment was a day later (Dec 4) than it actually was (Dec 3) and as a result I've been dropped from the gender reassignment program and have to join the waiting list to start it all over again after being on it for over 2 years. As a consolation I'm told I don't need a referral from a psychiatrist.

I've had to pull out of this year's CRISIS Open Christmas for the street homeless. I was to give anything up to 12 hours of theatre workshops a day every day which would result in a performance on the last day. The space they're providing doesn't conform to Health and Safety regulations and they are claiming the copyright to the workshops because 'it's their space'. I'm pulling out as a point of principle, the whole purpose I'm running the workshops is for the street homeless, not CRISIS.

It really sucks that your surgery got screwed up, still think they should not make you wait again since it wasn't your fault the appointment was messed up. I hear there's excellent doctors in Montreal who specialize in gender reassignment surgeries.

Status: offline 		Oh Stella!!!  That bites the big one for sure, especially the part about having to go back on the waiting list.  After waiting over 2 years, it's abominable that they make you wait anymore time, especially when it was their fault.

Status: offline 		You can take a chance Kyttyn..but being safe rather than sorry is my adage, nausea should not be the response even if you eat pizza right after not eating all day, not even if diabetic (which I am and I have failed to eat due to running like a fiend).

Red I know, I know you is da Legal lady, but even you can't keep everything in your head especially when this is coming on top of holidays, birthdays, kids feelings, and your regular everyday monumental stress. Few people know about the Owner Occupancy safeguard or think about it, and it is available only in some states. Don't know about Virginia. It is in effect or was when I lived there in NY and NJ.

Status: offline 		i hate it that i discovered today that a house belonging to someone i particularly don't like, has been sold just 6 weeks after being on the market.  It is on my street and was the same price as mine - i hate it that i can't sell my house after if being on the market for over a year.  i hate it that i hate the person who owned it even more now.  i hate it that i was going to clean up for a viewing tomorrow and now i can't be bothered.  i hate it that Sir is not here to hold me and tell me it's ok and that in the grand scheme of things it is not that important.  i hate all those people who came for second viewings and didn't put an offer in.  i hate this merry go round and dropping the price again and again.  i hate that i have to sell because of the divorce.  i hate it that today being Tuesday it is a non alcholic drink day and that i think i will need a glass of wine tonight...  Ah... i hate all this hate i have at the moment....

hugs to all who need them (and Stella i really really would go to the managers of the hospital over this.  Two years is a hell of a long time to wait already, how dare they try to fob you off to cover up their own stupid mistake!)

Status: offline 		i hate that i have thieves for neighbors ...someone opened a package addressed for me and re-taped the envelope dumping it at my door. you can tell it was opened though they did their best trying to line up where they opened it while taping. i checked to make sure my Christmas present from Daddy was still in there (it was).  i guess they didn't like what was engraved on the tag!

i would be upset however i'll let Santa dump tons of coal on them.

Status: offline 		LOL...I would Potty, but sometimes what I say is not just for the person who it is said to, and though it is easy to forget things when in the middle of a crisis or stress. GRINS. There are a lot of people who live in states where the Owner Occupancy rider protects those who are renters, and some who don't but in these uncertain times with foreclosures going on right and left it is a protection many people don't know they have if they live in one of those states. It is NOT included in the lease contract, but is something those living in relevant states should know about. Landlord tenant law is not something handled by all law firms, and firms do tend to specialize. Since I am not sure what kind of Law her firm practices..I will always err on the side of redundancy..saying something someone already knows just in case there is someone else out there that could also use the information. I know I could have many years ago when a landlord tried to break my lease to put his cousin in the house I was renting. I nearly found out about it too late, but because I did, He had to pay for my move, and compensate me for an illegal eviction.
