I'm so sorry, Sage. I'm glad to hear that you were w/him during his last breath. I'm also glad that this happened AFTER the holidays so you were able to spend them w/him.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I sent it to Kathy, told her it was a very appropriate and might help her feel better, but she cant read it right now.

Put it did help me, thanks everyone.
Its been a long battle with Pye's care but now no more shots sticking or forcing pills down his throat.

We are donating all the left over medical stuff and perfectly good medications to a worthy kitty at the vet thats usable. Most was not cheap stuff, so at least it well help another furbaby family.

That's so kind....i find giving to others helps me deal better with my own loss.

I so agree and knowing what this stuff costs, my sister has sent a fortune on him, and its senseless to through it away when it might be just want another furbaby needs.

Thank you sweet Lady and camille.

I put so much effort it caring for him. You would think he was my cat but he was my sisters. But Pye has always been my boy.

We have been expecting it and knew it wouldnt be long was surprised he made xmas and new years. So we got at least some quality time with diligent care.

I get all 'dressed' to play...clothes, boots, hair, nails, makeup, accessories, contact lenses....and have to put on my reading glasses to see my 'close work' during a scene !! wahhhhhhhhhhhh !

Wait till you need trifocals. Thats when you need to take the extra expense and get progressive lens.
There is no way I could handle 2 lines.

I tried them for a bit & couldn't handle them. I've got progressives now and they took about a month to get used to. Sure is easier to shop in bookstores!
