Sending hugs and healing thoughts to you Rain....maybe you should wear those big tennis racquets people wear on their feet to avoid tripping....and um take a photo to show us how stylish you look please :)

Sylvere it can get frustrating but please don't give up hope, take some time out and focus on yourself .... just think how special the person will be who comes into your life when you are ready for them

Sage ..... you can come road tripping with me when I am there in May .... um as long as you can read a map, can tell me left from right and will remind me to drive on the wrong (your right) side of the road!!!!!!

Oh gawds, please remember to drive on the right side of the road. For the longest time after I came back, I kept getting into the left lanes and my dad would be screaming at me. Not a pretty sight....

And I'll pass on the snowshoes, Wanders. It's more icy than snowy right now. And let's face it, I can probably give holly a run on the klutziness factor. (Though I have documented evidence for mine, she doesn't!)

It's one thing to you know... be on the ice, but once I saw a woman with high high heels on the ice in Philly... I thought '... you just DESERVE to fall if you wear that stuff.' I may have said it out loud even. But there was no media nearby, so it never happened.

Wanders I am so there LOL I love road tripping. Where are you landing? I am known for my navigation skills, I have a right and left hand, now I may have to hold my left hand up to remember but duable, and trust me I will be sure and make sure you are driving in the right direction.

Ya know, sunshine, that reminds of the torture of winter boot hunting this year. Supposed "snow" boots, with 3 and 4" spiked heels.... I was like "f**k that shit, I want comfort, warmth and NO HEELS!" I like my feet firmly on the ground, thank you!

And I hate it that someone has abandoned a beautiful dark tabby out this winter and she's not doing too well. Lumus is trying to feed her since she's also starving to death and says He wants to bring her in with us and Punky, the big qualifier is that we're not sure of her health. We think she's almost frozen to death a few times with this winter weather and she's real skittish, we don't know if she's been hurt or not.

We've named her "Snowy"..... I hope she makes it long enough for us to get her inside.

My girl and I are discussing homeschooling currently. He simply needs to grow more in the emotional department before being fed to the wolves in middle school.

Thanks, Gwyn... Funny thing is, I asked around about Snowy this summer and was assured that she had a home in a house next door to the building. I checked several times and when someone moved out of the house, I asked again, saying I hoped they took her with them. Apparently they didn't....

(Isn't there a special place in hell for people who abandon animals?)

I have real problem with people that abandon animals. Have to wonder if these are the same type of people that abandon their children or leave there pets in cars with the window open a thin crack on a scorching hot day, mind you there those that do that to their children too.
Really hate people that do such things to their animals. What does that really say about them as human beings?

Rain, check with animal control they may have a live trap you can use. Bait it with a warm blanket and food...AND keep a watch out for it being sprung.

If there isn't a place in hell for them, there should be..filled with abandoned animals and ticked off pit bulls or a pit filled with feces and nothing but a cat box scooper to use to dig their way out. The trials of Prometheus would be too good for them.

I mentioned her to the vets office today when they called and checked up on Punky. Good news for Punky is he's doing well and all his shots are up to date. However, since Snowy probably isn't declawed, she could really hurt him. I always isolate cats when bringing in new ones like this, for their sake and ours. Poor Punky gets very unhappy when she comes to the window..... Thinks he's gonna be an only furbaby.

Not if this works out....

(And people wonder why I always end up with kittehs, even when planning on not having any!)

i hate it when i feel as though i'm having some kind of 'crisis of faith' for lack of better descriptors... i hate that this death has affected me so powerfully. i hate that i'm allowing some fucking disease to control my thoughts, feelings, and emotions this way. i hate that i would give anything to not have to go back to work. i hate the most that this is causing me to doubt myself and my abilities. i hate that i'm growing to fucking seriously disdain one of the people i supervise. i hate that my worst fears about her were confirmed this week when i told her of my client's pending (now complete) death and she said "Well aren't you relieved?" When I attempted to clarify that statement with her she seriously thought the fact that i told them this would happen should somehow give me relief...WTF???!!! i was so fucking appalled i could not even speak to her anymore......
