ORIGINAL: LadyRainfire Luscious, I didn't know that!! My son was dx'd as an Aspie originally but it never quite fit. 2 years ago when he went back in for a re-eval, he saw a specialist who used a team approach and when they were done, that's when it was found out it was more pervasive so he got the PDD dx instead. It made a world of difference in treatment and has helped. This has been so cool tonight! Purple, Lushy, and all the rest of the special people here who take care of loved ones who need extra help getting through life... Bless your hearts. They are truly as big and loving, if not more, than what I thought before tonight. Hugs and squishes... What she said. And I love it that a film like "Love Actually" outlines purple's problems so heart-achingly clearly, and a book like "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" helps me know more about Aspergers, in a kindly way. When SunshineMiss stayed with me wednesday night, I was blown away with how great she was with my son. he really liked her and went out if his way to talk to her and be near her. But he has always had good taste and vast intelligence!
