Reminds me of a customer I had today who I really enjoyed. I love it when my managers back me up completely, and then compliment me for my ability to handle a situation.
I had a lady come in with photos from Olan Mills (copyrights, we cant do a thing with them without permissions) and tell me that she had permission to copy them but it wasnt with her. She planned on waiting for the photos to be copied, and I told her we couldnt sell them to her without the written consent. Her reply was that I was calling her a liar that she actually had it, and she was outraged that I would have the gall to accuse her of a crime (copyright infrigement) to her face! She demanded to see a manager. My manager told her that without seeing the written proof and making a copy to keep in our records we were not able to release her photos to her. She asked what happened to the photos if she was unwilling (unable?) to provide the documents. The manager told her they would be destroyed. So she told him she greatly doubted he'd rather destroy profitable photos over her unwillingness to go home and get him the document. She told him she was calling his bluff and expected to be run up that instant. He ripped the photos to pieces right in front of her. Guess he wasnt bluffing.
