Ohhhhhhhh, MM, my daughter would die of happiness!! She's there right now, at Fanime Con in San Jose, well, she was over the weekend and she's moving to SF this summer. She lives for all things Japanese and hopes to move there after she graduates from university. I bought her an antique kimono for her birthday one year (from approximately 1875 or so) and she has a growing collection of them. [:)]

Oh, a collection of select and vintage kimonos!  How lovely.

I've heard it's incredibly expensive to live in Japan, at least in the urban centers.  How do people on a budget move there?
