...work seems to be getting better now. I have been at a new workplace and got offered there to do regular 2 night shifts per week (sadly 2 nights in a row which is a bummer as the two days afterwards and the day before as well I am at uni and placement...so it will be kind of hard to ensure to stay fit and awake after my 2nd night shift). However, I hope to be able to change that at some point maybe with a swap or the manager also knows that she can call me if anyone cancelles their nightshift as I am likely to be available with being on placement now (as I can't be booked in easily as there aren't too many houses around these days with waking night shifts). On top of that I also might be able to change on of those 2 affected placement days to the weekday where I am off normally to manage it a bit better...Therefore it means I already have 8 night shifts for next month which gives me 80 hours already (during my last placement i usually only managed to scratch 60-80 hours together next to placement which brought me really in financial trouble once my student money was run out).

So I hope that it will stay that way that I keep those 2 nights per week for sure as that would give me a chance to stay off work every 2nd weekend and stay off for one day every other week....haven't had it since years to be regular off for 1-2 days per week...am really thrilled about this possibility now. Apart from that I am waiting now for the rota from my other place where I work nights and if I catch a few shifts there then I can even stay off work more weekends (to relax and to do my uni work at home - but I already know that someone wants to transfer to that place and then this pig will take those nights as she is after them and just lives 5 minutes away from there

). However, I am just glad now to get a chance to get established at this other place for regular night shifts and to hopefully get a future during my final year where I can be off completely 1-2 days per week

I love it when I get a cell phone call just now, scramble to answer it, look at the caller, and it's my house (which is where I am). *???*
I answer it and a voice on the other end starts laughing. I ask her, "Why are you calling me from the house phone, you weirdo?" She replies, "Because I'm too lazy to get up and come to the living room and tell you I love you." Then she starts laughing again, and next thing I know, she's in front of me, telling me I've been had.

I have absolutely no clue where she gets her twisted sense of humor from.

The only thing missing now is the German style round cup metal welding goggles... I've got the modified chefs coat, scrub pants, rubber boots, long black rubber gloves and a respirator...

Besides...legirons usually tear up stockings anyways...
