Friday afternoon - to late in the day to start making fone calls - is when I got informed they were taking dad off Hospice, and I would have until This Coming friday to get all his equipment replaced.  I was Really Worried that I wouldn't manage to find some place that could replace his equipment in time for the transition.  Or that if I did, it was going to cost so much out of pocket that it was impossible to accomplish.
 
I managed to find a company - less than 10 blocks from the house - who can and will replace all dad's equipment (wheelchair, nebulizer, oxygen concentrator, portable oxy tank, and masks for al 3) .... on Friday of this week, at no out of pocket expense to myself because they're filing for medicare on dad's behalf since he's on medicare.... and rather than having to try and get him in to see his GP on an emergency basis to have New orders written up for all the equipment.... a single phone call to the hospice company got them to fax all of their prior orders for equipment to the new company, so that they have the necessary medical orders to do so!  2 phone calls on my part, rather than the dozens I was anticipating having to make, and a Lot more cooperation from the hospice company in this transition that I was expecting considering how long they put off telling me that they were terminating his case.
