I love it when I'm sitting here, staring at my bank account, fridge, gas tank, and pack of cigs that are all empty after a freakishly strange, stressful and expensive month, wondering how in the green bouncing hell I'm going to make it 5 more days until payday, and a friend drops by and I happen to ask if he can loan me $10 for a couple days, and he hands me considerably more, saying "Don't worry about it, just make me dinner sometime next week and we're even."  People going above and beyond, because they've been there, when they don't HAVE to do anything at all.  I love that.  Thank you Lazer *HUGS*

I love it when I read nice things like what happened with BKSir and I have more faith in the human race.

I love it when, last night, I had a captive audience with 4 young girls and was able to explain to them the reason for minding who you keep as friends and the importance of respecting yourself as well as your elders.  Hopefully, that face time will stay with them a long time.

I love it when my roommate tries to surprise me with new stilettos (but it isn't going to work because he bid on them when he was drunk after I pointed them out to him, then pointed out to ME that he had bid on them).  And I love it when the shoes are cheap because then I don't feel bad that he got them.  And I am going to love it all over again when they show up in the mail.

I love it when I can make someone happy by baking for them. I made a fresh blueberry pie with blueberries my son picked. I made a gingersnap crust and gingersnap crumb topping. I also made german chocolate lemon squares using a german chocolate cake mix and cream cheese and lemon juice.

Master/Daddy loves dessert (dont know where he puts it all) daily but has never had anyone personally bake for him. His mother never cooked or baked. She made reservations. he was such a poor abused child.[:D]

it's a farce i tell ya!  sleep is just something to throw you off balance.  i was "napping", and my son came in and said, "mom, i need that money now!"

You have no idea what a HUGE impact you may have made. I teach at a vocational school. Its very hard to not be negative when many act irresponsibly and dont show up. Recently I felt as if I saved someone just by telling her how smart she was and how much she had to offer and how much I cared about her.I told her I loved her and hugged her. She made a complete turn around started coming more regularly. Grades back up. She wrote me a thank you note teliing me how glad she was to have me in her life. Thats worth so much more than the pay.
