um, no, dear....bowling balls get sent to the cleaners.....the fabric softener makes them greasy on the alley!

just this week i ran out of dishwashing liquid, so not wanting to run to the store for the 3rd time, i tried laundry detergent, knowing it would probably leak all over my floors or do something hideous to the dishes. But to my shock, they came out great no film nothing!! it was awesome. not saying all do that again but at least i know that if i get into a pinch there it is.

a trick i used to keep my nursing uniforms white...add i cup of liquid dish washer soap when you wash them....

well now we know that they can be used mixed and matched....cool i read this in ladies home journal and havent tried it yet the lady with 5 kids and a husband instead of sorting laundry she would place a laundry basket in each bedroom. when it got full she would throw it all in the washer with a cup of vingear. says the whites were white and the colors didnt fade or run....ummmm.. its an idea that i want to try

I would be afraid of the vinigar smell. I use it when i wash my cloth shower curtains (removes the soap build-up) and there is always a slight odor...

My grandma swore by a cup of kosher salt in the laundry to keep things from fading. I love it when Fox checks with financial aide and they tell him that changing his status to Married will not adversely affect his ability to get loans for school. That means, of course, we dont have to wait to get married until he graduates :) Right now, the tentative date is 10-17-09 :) DV
