Hib, atarax is sometimes prescribed for insomnia as well as anxiety. When I had my first kiddo, my boyfriend had decided he wasn't ready to be a father, I had just moved back in with my mom after being out of the house for over 10 years, and it was an adjustment to say the least. I got a rash all around my mouth about 2 weeks after giving birth. After looking at it, and then talking about what was going on at home, my doc says, "so what are you not saying?" The issues at home, that I couldn't get anyone to "hear" me talk about, were manifesting as a rash around my mouth. She gave me atarax for the anxiety and said it would take care of the rash too. And it did. And made me sleep like I was in a coma. Cali
