Hehe.... I did a bit of raping and pillaging, Iron (ermm.. well... I Guess you could call it "raping" - he Was awfully WILLING, and it's difficult to Rape the Willing) Nearly got attacked by a killer vorpal rabbit on Friday night at the Known Worlde Party (the theme this year was "Monty Python's Holy Grail" - my barony had the most "Virgins of Castle Anthrax" show up in their chemises for the party - myself not included, as I was busy belly dancing to a truely awsome drum circle at the party.) I did come home with a bit of booty from pillaging - though I did my Personal pillaging on Merchant's Row - got a couple of pieces needed to finish putting my armor together, got my helmet ordered (it's being custom made to my measure - most folks simply buy "off the rack" so to speak) got some new jinglies for my belly dance stuff (including a pair of absolutely Incredible Fan Veils that I'm learning to use for veil work, which I'd never seen before in all the years that I've been belly dancing)......
Got to see my SCA "Family" and take part in a family Circle again for the first time in 10 years - and was truely gratified to find out that a few folks who had been Very important to me in the Household were still around, at the war, and glad to see me back. (I figured they woulda forgotten me in that much time - I shoulda known better lol. As Momma Elasheva put it "Rhi darling, we may love you... we may hate you... but there is No Way we are EVER going to FORGET you.")
And the really Important part.........
One of the gentlemen who rode in my car to and from the war (my carpenter who helped put my rope bed together, and who is building me a Large loom to start weaving on again) is someone who I've known for about 12 years, even though we weren't in contact during a large stretch of that time. Now t hat circumstances have changed (significantly) for both of us, and we're back in contact again.... we've come to an "agreement" about certain things. Namely, that we're going to give it a shot as a couple. Yes, that's right, the woman who swore off any remote resemblance to a Relationship of ANY sort is now officially in a relationship. He is as kinky and perverse as they come - but much like myself has zero interest in Power Exchange. (I will admit, howerver, that he's just dominant enough as a personality without being Overt about it, or Consciously Trying to do so, that he pretty well keeps me under control - hard as that might be for any of you who've met me to imagine LOL. Fortunately, he himself hasn't realized that he brings out any submissive tendencies that I might have lurking within.) Thing is, that really helps, since it means I don't have to wonder when the mask is going to come off and he's going to start acting like a power crazed egomaniac, which has been my personal experience with d/s. He lives here in town, a few minutes drive from me - so we'll get to see each other frequently. We have a Lot of shared hobbies within the hobby, and since he and I are both heavy weapons fighters, he's also becoming my new sparring partner to get back into shape for fighting on the list field.
I'm not going to hold my breath on this being some sort of "love of my life" sort of thing. I'm smarter than that - and a lot more jaded than that. He has, however, managed to convince me to give it a shot, which is something that I'd long since made up my mind I was absolutely possitively not ever going to do again.......
