i love that a friend thought of me when her co-worker found a stray chihuahua on her porch. i love it that cub fell in love with him too and even picked out a name for him. it's a shame he wasn't microchipped, i would have returned him, but i'm glad i didn't have to. tibby has attached himself to me, all 4 pounds of him. he's skinny but appears to be in excellent health, teeth are good, no fleas so he was probably treated, but he should be at least a pound heavier. he'll be heavier in no time. he's found a forever home here. FQ, you should qualify for legal aid, have you thought about or sought legal advice regarding Grabby's incompetence in selling you the PPI plan? I presume you're seeing one regarding custody? Research them and make sure they have a solid background as a family solicitor. You've taken a lot of shafting lately, one of those major lights is getting those three foot monster cuddles.

Oddly enough I received a call on Tuesday from the same firm of solicitors that's dealing with the second custody case after (somewhat obviously) we won the first. They've now found that they can do a tolerance to assist me with the PPI as it's directly affecting the little one. I suspect that the fact that I'm approaching them currently for family matters may have allowed them to do this. Anyway, to cut this short, they're confident that because I have written confirmation from them that the PPI only covers just over half of the mortgage payments and they've failed since the 12th January to supply the original paperwork relating to the mortgage, PPI and life cover then the case has become stronger for us. I also have an e-mail from the assistant manager at the branch where the whole lot was taken out stating that she's been unsuccessful in tracing the original paperwork so I'm intending to print that out and use that as evidence as well. Monday's going to be an interesting day - junior's picked up, the money from the CB's going in to the account, I have the court hearing in the morning, I sign on in the afternoon and I'm invited to a spanking party in the evening. I suspect I may have a few more cigars than usual on Monday.
