There is no hard and fast rule, but assuming all blood flow is cut of by the clamp, tissue death begins in about 10 minutes according to a scene friendly pathologist I know.

If the skin is starting to turn reddish or purple, they need to come off. Any skin discoloration should be taken as a sign of tissue being damaged.

About 10-15 mins max, but what a sensation when the blood starts to flow again.....luckily i have a Dom that is very good in helping controlling the pain of the blood flow

Ah...Fndrywmm. You "DIDN'T" mention, WHERE you were PUTTING those Clothes pins.....blushing.

I like to use some too, but I use the Plastic type and added those Hair Rubberbands wrapped around the clothes pin. I can slide the Rubber Band up or down the Plastic Clothes Pin, to adjust how much presssure. Oh...I use them on my Nipples, but since the pressure isn't too bad, and I have Rubber Pads on the tips too, I can leave them on a little longer. It's not as tight as a regular Clothes Pin, but my PUPPIES still know they are there.

May I make a suggestion that I learned the hard way... use the kind of clothes pins that are smooth in the area that pinches around skin, not the kind with little teeth that are designed to hold clothes tightly- they do the same to skin... that reminds me I've been meaning on trying to find some new clothes pins at the grocery store...

Hi Tarnishedhalo. Try what I do, and you'll learn to like them. Read my post above...it'll make a big difference, and almost anyone could use them then.

what about successive use?
say you wear them for 10 minutes (or so) then remove...then re-do them an hour or 2 later - still sore from first but needing to feel it again

oh - yes, on my nipples

Question for Ballet Bob: Very interesting use of clothes pins - Thanks for submitting the picture. Do you purchase the clothespins with the rubber tips? Or do you apply your own rubber? (If so... what - how?
