I have already announced this... more or less. But since I am stuck at home ill tody, I thought I would take the time to write out the whole sappy affair for those of you who like reading a little romance on occasion.
Fox and I just recently returned from vacation. We took a road trip from Nashville, stopped in Virginia for a meeting with Daddysredhead and then continues on to Washington DC. In DC we spent the day playing tourist and then that evening met with Trappedinamuseum and DCNovice for dinner. That night we headed up to NY, soent 2 days with my best friend R and then Sunday we headed off to D's wedding. I was Maid of Honor, and it was Fox's first wedding (ever). In the car on the way over, I said to him that I had a surprise for him at the wedding. AS a joke, he answered "If you plan on asking me to marry you, I'll say yes." We laughed and I told him "That wasnt what I had planned, but I'll keep it in mind."
The ceremony was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time at the reception. Fox and I had to leave a bit early, since we were driving to MD that night. As a thank you for stepping up to the Maid of Honor spot on short notice, D put my song with Fox into the playlist. I was getting a little concerned that it was almost time for us to head out, and they hadnt played it yet. I went up to the bridal table, and asked D if she could go hint at the DJ to play it. She agreed, since she wanted to see us dance before we left.
When the song started, Fox was still at the table, watching for photo oppertunities. He is becoming a rather good photographer, and he tends to get very into it and not pay attention elsewhere. I smiled at him and held out my hand, and he joined me, alone, on the dance floor. While we danced, Fox was already misting up. He is a romantic, and gets emotional pretty easily. I looked up into his eyes and kissed him. "If I did ask, would you really say yes?" I said.
"Yes, I would." He replied
"Then, I guess its going to be a very long engagement." I smiled, kissed him agian and put my head down on his shoulder while we danced. He cried, D cried since she was so happy she got to share it with us... and the timing couldnt have been better.
I did not plan on asking. It just felt right. I knew I loved my Fox shortly after I collared him, and the feeling has always been mutual. So he says, he was going to ask right after the wedding, too, so obviously, I wasnt the only oe who thought the timing was right. We will be waiting until he graduates (2-3 years or so) before we start our planning, and he plans on asking me at some point when I dont expect it.
I am beyond happy with the decision. I wil be keeping Angel as well, in a much more reduced capacity since he will be getting his commision to the Army around mid-year this year if all works out. I cold never have imagined that CM could have made me this happy in real life. I met both boys on here, and without the site I never would have met either.
