Intelligence and Education are not mutually exclusive; you can be intelligent and creative and have little to no higher education.

When I was in high school, I brought home a report card with all A's on it. That day I also did something incredibly stupid (don't remember what it was, but it was really dumb). My dad said, "There's a difference between being intelligent and being smart. I'd a whole lot rather you were smart."

I never finished college - I went to work one summer and just stayed because I much preferred the environment. I didn't stop learning, though. I now have in my head a pretty extensive textbook on English grammar, punctuation, and word usage. This information has come in useful many times, and it has served to help me get positions that are more challenging. But I didn't learn the information in school.

If a person wants to better themselves by continuing their education, or if another person feels comfortable with the "book-learning" he or she already has and chooses to learn from life itself, I find value in each. Each has come to know themselves and their level of intellectual comfort.

No... actually  I see you communicating it that NO knowledge is useless....

Yes... knowing that some threads are crap is knowledge.... but yet... I don't taste it.... so I have no knowledge what it taste like.... frankly have no interest in what it tastes like... as I said before

It smells like shit, looks like shit... and if I unfortunately step in it... I will know that it feels like shit.... but... I not going to taste it....  I am content that it's shit and I will move forward.......

In time with wisdom... I avoid stepping in it... and still I move on and call it shit.  but I don't really know what it feels like anymore...... and I getting even alittle more aware... when I smell it... I will head the other way.... and avoid seeing it as well.

Yes some knowledge is Useless.....Some knowledge is only necessary to Avoid Useless Shit.  Like this thread..... I haven't read anything of much in this thread..... Kyra told me about it... and she made note of this No knowledge is useless crap.  Well... I was fortuante to avoid alot of useless information and get down to this one post.  and make my post... which frankly might be Absolutely useless to some and useful to others.

Yes I see your point. But do you know why you find that knowledge "shit". Propably because of experience with that knowledge.
Negative knowledge is knowledge too..and also positive in the end..because you learned that it has no use to you.

*snort*

~to the thread in general~

Even knowing that you don't know is knowledge of a kind. And sometimes you decide that you don't want to know.

But if you do want to know, and you pursue that knowledge, then that knowledge is useful because it has satisfied your curiosity, even if you have done nothing with that knowledge.

My brain is a compendium of "useless" information, but I dredge up bits and pieces to amaze and amuse my friends from time to time.

example of useless knowledge (in my life):
adult seagulls have a red spot on their lower beak. When they have hatchlings the young will peck at the red spot in order to make the parent regurgitate food.
(something I learned in 7th grade)

and yes, I realize that technically 'seagulls' is redundant.

no actually it is useless knowledged for her... she not the bird that is pecking at the red spot.... Unless of course she wants to do that... then the information is rather useful for her... otherwise it is just another bit of useless knowledge that she is not going to use.

I agree with someone that said.... that Useless knowledge is knowledge that a person hasn't found a use for.  But... unless you have a use for it ... then it is Useless.

Knowledge is power in ur society. It allows you to seek careers and paths that those without it cannot. As such,it allows an increase in value of an individual-how could that be negative in a shared situation?

Ah, you've touched on a topic that interests me.

As a master, personally I do not hold strong desires for bondage, discipline, objectification, humiliation... These things have their place, and in many ways are enjoyable, but to me there is just so much more!

My greatest desire is to make my slave, or slaves (yes, yes, not to everyones taste. I understand.) more than they were when they came to me.

To teach them an art, to teach them defense, grace, humility and philosophy. To hold high expectations of them, a career, an education, all these things that some find useless I take pride in. For a slave to truly be pleasing to me I need more than a door mat, more than someone to be used and wasted... I need to know their strength, and to know that their strength yields to my demands of trust, faith and loyalty, that I have earned the right to command through the wisdom of my leadership. This is pleasing to me.

But you do not need the words of such a (oh excuse me while I find a friendly way of saying this...) unique ... interpretation of what a master should be. What you need more is faith in yourself! If you'll pardon my saying so, perfect submission is only worthwhile when you have a master perfectly worth submitting to!

Do not give up your path, you are the one who chose it, and you are the one who must see it through.

Have faith in yourself. I, and anyone else, would be a fool to not have faith in you as well.
