There is a very large difference from punishment and enjoying pain play. Punishment is meant to correct a behavior and should be done in some manner that the person being punished does not like or will remember with trepidation. This changes with each person and it is part of the responsibility and joy of owning a girl to learn what motivates. For instance witholding pain might motivate a pain toy. In most cases doing just the opposite of what they like is pinishment but not always. It is the journey that is the fun part.

i try not to refer to myself as a painslut, although i so clearly am. the worst punishment for me? being ignored. i guess its that brat streak. spank me, flog me, whip me just dont pretend i dont exist. hell negative attention is still attention.

i was once collared to a Man in D/'s though it didn't last very long....anyway, as a for of punishment, He would make me drink out of the toilet like a dog, make me write humiliating things on my body and make me sit out in my yard for others to see as they drove by....sometimes humiliation can be more punishing than pain.....at least from my experience.........shudders at the thought of it all again*

If sub enjoys spanking, etc. You can tell them that you are not going to spank, etc for punishment. Then one way to punish is to have sub sit at spanking, etc site and hold pandle, flogger, etc. This makes them realize what they are lossing for bad behavior. They will be better behaved after this.

I was fortunate enough to be able to 'rescue' my chamberpot from my great-aunts house - is made of enameled metal and looks like a giant coffee cup - hence the term 'thundermug' as a substitute for chamberpot

if you cant find a thundermug, a diaper pail makes a nice substitute - or even a thrift store bought stock pot can do in a pinch

the sight of her squatting over the container, knees spread, while she waits your command/permission to start peeing (or otherwise) is one to be treasured

Apply usual caveats here

Punishment always is a function of perception. The only way to know is to be a good interrogator from the start.

If that's the case, it's hardly effective punishment. If someone doesn't *know* they're being punished, it's unlikely to have any chance of abating the behavior that earned the punishment in the first place.

Hello,

I am not sure it is my last resort, but I have only once used this with my children and they never did the behavior they were doing which disappointed me ever again.

I have not been in a situation where I used that with a submissive, but that is largely situational.

I had a submissive threaten to give me her collar back as emotional blackmail. I said she would do that one too many times. She did it one too many times. I wished her the best in her endeavors and ended the relationship.

I am a firm believer in not making empty threats and if one is trying to bluff me, expect to be called. Not sure what that has to do with disappointing me, but there ya go.

I was going to say the same thing. Being ignored or made not to speak is the worst thing to me. Also, the knowledge that I have disappointed my Master and made him upset is very upsetting to me. So I understand what you mean, Mr Thorns, when you speak of "the look".

Honestly i like it both ways and i am a submissive. I can tell when Master and i are just playing when a spanking is for pleasure. And then there are those times when punnishment needs to happen, and i need the spanking , the physical pain to feel release. That's something i feel that i completely need and if i was ever not spanked, whipped....i dont think that i would feel forgiven, i dont feel like i would have learned my lesson, it's something inside of me that just craves it for punnishment and when i know it's coming as punnishment i anticipate, and become afraid, not of my Dominant, but of my emotions.......and that's the best part for me, the moment when i'm there, humble, and willing to accept my punnishment, and just take it, the tears fall, i am released from the bonds that have been tied and am comforted if He feels it necessary, if He finds me worthy enough...need i go on

Oh my there are so many to list can we fit them all in here. One of my personal favorites is stripping them naked making them take a shower and not letting them dry off then put them in a room with 2 air-conditioners on high and make them stand there till they are dry. and by that time hopefully you have frozen any thoughts of them misbehaving out of their minds.
