Yeah, most masters in successful relationships make sure they understand the relationship before making the commitment.  Silly them.

The collar should mean something... it's being worn to represent something. Whether it's comittment, ownership, love and devotion... it doesn't matter. If she doesn't like the collor, there's a reason. Find out what it is. i'm my Owner's little kytten, and i wear a collar daily. But in truth, i have many collars, to fit my moods or clothing. But i have one special collar that means the most to me because i made it special to wear just for Him.

i don't agree that just because you're the Master she should have to wear something she hates, if she has a reason TO hate it. Cause i said so doesn't fly with kids, so why would it for a submissive? Then again, i guess that also depends on the relationship dynamics you two have. Communication needs to go both ways... maybe she just needs to understand what it is that's around her neck. Or maybe even get one that's special for her, so she has a sentimental attachment to it.

Course, you could always do what was done to me too... when i was first being trained. i had to wear a god aweful ugly thing. i hated it because it wasn't pretty, and it was uncomfortable as hell. But i was told that i would wear it until i had earned a new one that i liked more. And as things progressed, i eventually got what i had earned, and was all the more proud of wearing it.

Being allergic to most metals my Sir got me a sterling silver collar that we both liked the look of. It is a solid band with a few links at the joining. I have worn it for two years nonstop and it still annoys me at times. I wouldn't take it off without some really good reason. As my Sir says, if it annoys me then I will be thinking of him.
A collar doesn't have to look like a collar. As a symbol it could be an earring or a bracelet or a toering.  It just has to have some meaning between you and your significant other.

She just has trouble breathing while she sleeps and sometimes claim it itches her during the day.

What exactly does she not like about the collar she already has? I dont believe you ever mentioned that part.

And thanks Phin :)

That would be a health concern and shouldn't be taken lightly. A collar shouldn't obstruct breathing or possibly cause allergic reactions.

I just replaced it with a smaller more comfortable collar. Everything is fine now.

Thank You for all the advice.

How'd you know that was what I was thinking?

I have just got a new slave and she is going to move in my home for a 24/7 relationship in April. She does not seem to like the collar that I make her where while she is in my home. I feel strongly as her Master that she must wear some form of a collar. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Find a slave who fits well in your collar.  Or, let your new slave tell you what she will and will not wear for her Master and live with it.

Joy, you fucked up royally. Read his later post where he said she was allergic to the metal in it to a point where her breathing was obstructed. Really think it's unsublike to not want to die from this?

Thank you for your commentary on my remarks to the OP, which were based on this posting:

If the OP had mentioned the health issue, from the start, rather than stating that, "She does not seem to like the collar", my comments would have been very different, as, i suspect, so would many of the other comments made prior to the disclosure of the health issue.  It does make a difference when people leave out such important information in their posts.

Oh, and btw, i never said anything about his new slave being "unsublike".  Since i don't know either of these people, i have no way of knowing (or caring) whether or not she is 'sublike' or not.  All i was suggesting to him, based on his OP, was that he could consider getting a slave who would fit with him better or accept the one he's got.
