36 Year old male living in Denver.  Been dormant for a few years now, and just wanted to see what's happening in the BDSM community.  Looking for friends and willing to give advice to those who need it.

Welcome to the party. Good luck in your quest, and be kind to those
rare beings who may seek to share your journey.

If you are seeking a submissive role in this lifestyle, it is time to leave the doormat at the front door.  It is my opinion that the most valuable submission comes from a position of power not a sense of being a victim,

I think you misunderstood.  I've been dormant, not a doormat.  [;)]

dominant hun, dominant.
*whispers* spellcheck...

*edited to add* you can edit your post within an hour of posting it.

Oh hell...we've all been dormant in this lifestyle a time or two, no?

Just realized since dormant is a word spellcheck would not be helpful in this situation.

Just so you know - some of us did get what you wrote first time...[;)]
Hope your re-introduction into BDSM gets only better from here!

Thank you A/all for the kind words.  For reference, I have been a Dominant for a long time before my imposed celibacy.  Looking forward to contributing.

TeachMeTonight -> RE: Hello CM community (3/19/2008 2:30:42 PM)

I did read it wrong, that is what I get for multi-tasking.  Well even if not for you, the advice applices to someone out here :)

wandersalone -> RE: Hello CM community (3/20/2008 8:01:19 AM)

Lets see if I got this right...you are a dormant dominant who is not a doormat?  [:D]  Cool, welcome aboard.

Miss DV!  I was serious!  Now I know that's really, REALLY hard to believe, but it's true. I have a thing for wordsmiths. [:)]

Back in the good ol' days of my youth I could probably prattle off that bit from Pirates, but now it would be a spit-spewing stumble worthy of a "I'm not feeling it Dawg" from one Randy Jackson.

Glad to know I have fans, though. I will endeavor to keep it as light as the fluffy soft-serve symbol that adorns my name.

wandersalone -> RE: Hello CM community (3/21/2008 9:14:39 AM)

Hmmmm a dom with a sense of humour...... interesting concept. Enjoy the vanilla cone while it lasts...I am pretty sure it will disappear in no time...lets hope your wit doesn't.
