Just a quick question, as my curiosity was piqued earlier today when my Owner commented on how i must be the only girl on the planet that enjoys a good flogging as part of after care from a play session. So here's my question... Is there anyone else out there who enjoys flogging as a part of cooling down, relaxing, etc rather than as an actual part of play for foreplay?

He has an assortment of floggers from "I'm sorry, did you touch me with something?" (yes, I actually said that once, in fun) to "Holy fucking HELL what was THAT???" (yes, I said that, too). Depending on the flogger, I can enjoy it during warm up (whatever that is, lol), during, cool down, on the fly, out of the blue, or any time of day or night. When he thrashes me with "the recycled tire" (a big ass rubber flogger) or the thin tailed one with beads on it, my threshold is pretty narrow. In truth, I don't have a warm up or cool down. I get whatever, whenever, however. But as far as his floggers go, yep, I love 'em.

Flogging as AFTER care? Never thought about it. It's usually part of the scene. How does your Dom feel about it?

Some floggers massage.some sting. Depends on how you make them and from what. I used to make quite a few-I'm saving up for a lathe to make the handles and counterweights right now. Then we'll see.

I certainly like administering a good flogging and all my past girls have enjoyed the experience etc ('cept when my aim wasn't so great) but it is quite physical and I would never have looked on it as a "cooling down" exercise - relaxing, YES! My own preferred "cooling down" method AFTER a physically demanding scene is simply to send the girl to the shower then truss her up and lay her down on the lounge with her head on my lap and stroke/caress her etc while I "zone out" myself.... That would include tending any bruising, too. Alternatively, I might sit her on the floor between my legs and brush her hair etc. To me, cooling down IS a matter of relaxation and all my subs have been at their most relaxed when bound and utterly helpless - which puts me in the same state. Your own experience merely highlights the necessity of communication and that everyone is different. :-) Still, I doubt I'd be mentally relaxed while still wielding a flogger - I like to veg mutually with the girl, who's not going anywhere mostly because she literally can't and I'm not because I don't want to.... Focus.

I agree with the ramp up and down and multi use of floggers depending on what type of flogger it is and how it is used . I have both done this and had it done to me aswell . Aftercare floggin with a talon tipped flogger prob is not a goot idea .I like to be warmed , then ramp up and be brought back down , also like the thick thud massage type flogger s just about any time .Not too fond of the bunny fur type floggers yet i know some like it so i use them to cycle the strokes and feel . I also know some people who think your not getting flogged until your marked and bloody , and still others who can hardly take a small warm up and they are toast . In the end its your exchange and if thats what you both dig , kewl !

Well, my Owner and i make whips, floggers, paddles, etc... so we have a wide variety with different feels and purposes. But all in all, a hard play session is pretty intense, and physically draining on my part. Not to mention the emotions that go with it. So whether it's a cool down for him, or not, it helps bring me back down to an even level, and relax me. i don't see being too exhausted to move as a relaxed state. We have other things too that He chooses to use, but even outside of play, a good flogging is generally relaxing to me. And afterwards, He loves to hold, pet and cuddle me close (and often times fall asleep)... so there's his means of relaxing. But i also know that before He met me, He never would have thought to flog a girl except as part of the play session. Certainly nice to know i'm not alone in my enjoyment of it, all around.

A light flogging can actually do wonders for a tensed-up back. Something about the way it hits the offending muscles allows them to release and bring at least a little bit of discomfort relief. I learned this from my old chiropractor who also used a modified spanking bench as a special adjustment table. Best chiropractor ever, in my opinion.

I use floggers on My girl all the time....and I use them as part of the cool down...Paddles generally for mid session...and then floggers as the heat up...she seems to like it when I flog her or use the floggers to stroke the heated skin after the fact. But shes a lil pain slut...lol

Flogging - all sound and fury, signifying nothing. They do feel good, but for me, unless my Sir is trying really hard, it doesn't hurt enough for me. Now, a caning will definitely get my attention. So I definitely see a flogging as aftercare

the only thing i have found that makes me sleep besides depravation /mummy time and fire cupping is a good flogging .I better not have all three done on the same night , may induce a coma lol . Dammit i gotta stop reading this thread i so need a flogging now ..
