the best pecan pie in the world doesnt get made any longer. my gramma passed away a year ago and hers was primo. she used to take the leftover piecrust and sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar and bake it...i dont know how the hell she made her piecrust so light, but she did. all from scratch, the recipe was in her head. the filling mix was on the back of the karo syrup bottle. kitten, sighing cause they cut down the pecan tree, too.
