I'm interested in buying a yoke. What I've seen online boils down to these: http://stockroom.com/j041plus.htm http://www.secret4us.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=02-J041&Category_Code=SSB&Product_Count=5 which I think are identical. There is another yoke in the bondage.com store, called an "adjustable yolk" (sic). It may or may not be identical to stockroom's. ExtremeRestraints sells a steel yoke which looks really well built from the picture, but I want something softer around the wrists and neck. For around $130-$145, I'd like to know if the two yokes I linked to suck. Does anyone have one who would like to comment? I'm mainly concerned about two things: The adjustable metal rods do not look too sturdy to me; it appears in one photo as though they are easily flexed. I don't necessarily need them really stiff, but my confidence is not inspired. Second, I'm concerned that the swept-forward design is going to cause something to dig into the back of the wearers neck, or otherwise cause discomfort of a sort we don't want. I do like the swept-forward design with respect to reducing tension in the shoulders. Our current yoke is home-made, and I'd consider adjustability and the swept-forward design a step up from where we are at, if the unit is otherwise sound. But if it isn't, I'd just as soon save some coin and build a Mark II version myself. All comments about buying or designing one of these things are most welcome.
