Ok, had a conversation with my Master in IRC a while back, it was an explanation of subbie diplomacy:

<me> Master, was discussing subbie diplomacy with [a g/f] the other night... and pointing out when she applied it without thinking... *l*

<me> the scenario where she stepped on His foot, and He asked why she did it...

<me> i told her that diplomacy was what took her through the checklist of answers:

<me> 1) "Because i could not avoid Your big Ole Honkin' Feet!" -NO

<me> 2) "Because i WANTED to!" -NO

<me> 3) "Well, You'd been quiet for a while." -NO

<me> 4) "Because i was a little woozy from Your kisses, Sir, and ohh, i lost my balance. i am sorry." -ding!ding!ding!ding!ding!

anyone else have any good examples?

were all the answers reasonably true?

1 as true as
2 as true as
3 as true as
4 as true as

any permutation of that?

Then if reasonably true, all are acceptable....all herald different outcomes...............

I know it is not on topic but I wouldn't know what else to say.

it was an example. i don't know if any of the answers were actually true, but i can tell you that they all could have had some truth in them.

i would suggest that diplomacy, in that instance, is in the choosing of the best truth to keep all parties happy.

and anyway, it was funny.
