My question- do they always get hard and "melon" looking? After breast feeding the twins have shrunk, and gone south somewhat (as you can clearly see by the pic in my profile) I used to be a perky C but with the kiddos they swelled to DD...and promptly deflated afterwards. I don't really need them that large again but having barely B cups now is making my depressed. Should I blow the money or deal? is there any way they could still be jiggly? if not that would be a deal breaker. Also- do you have to be careful with them or is it still possible to have fun and not pop one like a water balloon?

Saline implants, if under the pec muscles, and not too large, can actually look fairly reasonable. If you want a dolly parton look, then obvious is what you get. Silicon implants are way better, and inspite of the bad press, have no higher incidence of adverse reactions, including autoimmune diseases, than the general population. I don't think that the general public can get silicone implants in the us., but in the uk they are available. If I was going to get implants, silicon would be the way I would go. I have a feeling that there are plastic surgeons in the UK that do implant tours - you fly over, have the surgery, recouperate and see London for about what saline implants would cost you in the States. IWhat ever way you go make sure that the doctor you go to is a real plastic surgeon, with credentials, not an oral surgeon or general surgeon who went to a weekend seminar " big boobs for dummies" . Especially with plastic surgery, you get what you pay for is a true axiom. Am an RN , worked a lot for plastic surgeons. and have definite oppions about boobs.

I forgot to mention that if you have signifigant droop you may need a breast lift or mastopexy before the implants are put in. And as far as play goes, unless you are into really hard breast play, you should be ok. you also need to realise that implants have to be changed out at regular intervals - "x" number of years.

I am heading to Germany next month- and I will be there for 3 years... maybe i will be able to get them done somewhere over there?

In breast augmentation, you get what you pay for. The cheapest are the rush jobs where the surgeon goes in through the areola or under the crease in the tit at the chest, and just puts it over the muscle. These jobs tend to produce visible scars, misshapen tits, unnatural wrinkling, and a tendency to encapsulation. They also have to be worked on again to correct problems at a much higher rate. The next step up in quality places the sack under the pectoral muscles, and/or comes in from the armpit. Submuscular placement results in substantially more natural looking titties, and fewer call backs. Coming in from the side doesnt mar the look of the skin, and doesn't impact sensation in the nipples. Those are both big deals. Finally, there's now TUBA. TUBA stands for Trans-Umbilical Breast Augmentation. The sack comes in from a 1/2 inch across slice inside the belly button which heals up invisibly. The sack is put under the muscle, and inflated with a saline or silicone injector. This is the current state of the art in breast work. It tends to result in very natural looking and feeling tits. It's also done by the fewest number of surgeons, and is the most expensive. Do this one anyway.

I was really surprised about the size of the girls after nursing. I thought if there was to be a change secondary to childbirth they would have become larger. Instead, as with the op, my already small ones got even smaller.

And it's not just that they're smaller - I went from a B to an F or G and back again - and now they look 'empty' rather than small... and kind of sad. I have miserable boobs.

I am slightly surprised that I will be the first to say this. you have nice boobs... I am a huge fan of the natural look I would prefer a small breast to one that was tampered with. Be sure to do your homework and that you are doing this for the right reasons. I would hate to see someone mess up a nice rack for a "here then gone dom" [;)]

~Fast Reply~ Put a lot of thought into how badly you want this done. There is no such thing as a routine surgery and a teenager recently died while undergoing breast surgery. You shouldn't be paralyzed with fear but you need to understand that there is a very small chance of something going wrong and you dying or, more realistically, getting an infection or something going wrong with the breast implant - requiring more surgery. I would suggest getting it done here in the States but you can research what the requirements are in Germany. Definately talk to several doctors and don't go cheap under any circumstances.

What are your opinions on the herbal treatments available? There are many and of course the ads make them seem like the cure for cancer. On the surface, though, herbal does seem like a much better way to go. Thoughts?

The fact is... people age... gravity happens... mine arent as perky as they used to be either but they have a nice uptilt, and the very best part is, i am healthy~ I wish society was more accepting of aging in general, its depressing to think we're still expected to be hot at 70. Jeez. I tried those pills, they didnt work. Lots of friends have gotten implants. Generally they are happy with the result. But i also know a few girls who have very bad outcomes. Its a chance im not willing to take. Good health is everything. One of my friends just got out of a $35,000.00 re-hab in Vegas. Why? Her implants went wrong on one side, she has permenant nerve damage and chronic pain, wich led to a bad pain pill addiction. As her hairdresser i watched her go from a vibrant beautiful small breasted petite woman, to a vacant ghost who never smiled. Shes just now coming back to herself since de-toxing, but sadly, her pain is permanent. Another girl was talking on the phone when hers 'popped'. Yes they have to be re-done every 10 years or so. No thanks, not for me, but good luck to you and whatever you decide!

I've talked to a doctor about having mine fluffed. I don't want them larger, just firmer. We discussed "fat grafting" where the remove the fat from somewhere else and inject it into the breast. That however, has it's own set of risks.

Angel - check out the Laderma clinic in Prague, Czech Republic, Dr Cerna; she's a lovely lady and did mine. Laderma is part of a Canadian surgical company and Dr Cerna was trained over there. If youre in Germany it will be easy to get to Prague from most of the country. Go for an assessment - costs little as Dr Cerna wont give you what you think you want, but what she knows will do the job you need - which sounds a bit weird but its the ethical thing to do, and that she does it that way is great. It may be that all you need is a lift, rather than anything more extreme. And (whisper) - its really cheap! E

As another poster said, definitely think long and hard before undergoing any surgery. If you just get implants and there is substantial sag, there will still be sag, just bigger breasts. If you get a lift at which point they remove the aerola from the breast, you run the risk of losing sensation in your breasts. Also, if you get any cuts on the breasts you end up with scars and also loss of sensation along the incision line. I think you should definitely go to a consult and see what the surgeon suggests. I had a lift and augmentation on December 19. I have lost 140 pounds and the sag was crazy bad. There was nothing but skin left, the breast tissue was minimal. One of my implants didn't drop and I have to have another surgery to release it from under my pec muscle. The other fell nicely and actually looks quite good. I have absolutely no feeling in my nipples and I was told it may take up to two years to come back, or may never come back. I have loss of sensation along the lower part of my breast along the incision line. As far as breast play if you are heavily into it you'd have to be careful. It's not so much that they will pop, they are pretty strong items, but since the implant tends to move in the pocket it can be a bit weirdly uncomfortable. Do your research and then make the choice that works best for you!
