I have a yeast infection and I and my Master are both being treated. I know we cant have sex until it is cleared up. My question is can we still have anal sex? I've never needed to know the answer to this before...lol.

I'd say no.. just to be safe, but I'm not a professional, haha.

I got one after a knife scene, and just decided to not do anything at all while it was being treated.

call back and ask your doctor.

I wouldn't...no oral either...you could get thrush if he has one...plus Diflucan only takes a few days to work anyways.

We are treating with OTC medicines. I'm a diabetic and had a lot of yeast infections til my blood sugar got under control. I know the signs of a yeast infection.  This latest one came from antibiotics as the doctor had me on 2 full weeks of them to get rid of bronchitis.  First time I've had a yeast infection for 5 years. Thanks everyone.

You treat a man with any OTC Clotrimazole cream.

No anal sex.

You cannot have any kind of sex where the manly man parts touch any girly girl parts (defined as anything that a bikini bathing suit will cover) nor can any of the mm parts or the gg parts touch each other's mouth or other mucus membranes (just in case you were thinking of nostril intercourse).

No anal, no oral, no touching unless you're wearing rubber gloves and you don't touch anything else until you take the gloves off. Sounds kinda silly and extreme, but i've played the ping-pong ball game before. And sadly enough, i even know someone who got a yeast infection in their throat from having oral with his girlfriend who had just started being irritated from getting a yeast infection. Bleh!

It's better to be safe than sorry.

*smiles* ,.... taking a good probiotic can also help ...   I am a diabetic as well  and probotics  after antibiotics is great help in maintaing the balance internaly, especially for diabetics or others with an easily compromised imune system .....

yeasts tend to over grow when the good bacteria is challanged either via  things like, high sugar levels providing a better environment for the yeast or things like antibiotics  which kill of all types of bacteria includeing the good stuff, which helps to keep the yeast under control

Next time you need to take antibiotics, you can use thrush creams at the same time if you want to decrease the risk of  transfer

hope it all works out

Ask your dr, and it is only for a few days.   Just wait it out.
