I was playing with a sub who started sweating profusely, much more than he should have. He was bound, on his knees-I was in My fetish gear-stilleto boots, leather corset, leather skirt, etc. It was then he chose to tell Me he had diabetes, and his insulin kit was in his car.

I immediately untied him but I didn't have time to change so I had to go outside dressed in all My leather glory to get his kit. Unfortunately, I lived on a very busy main road.

Wouldn't it have been better for him to tell Me BEFOREHAND of his ailment? I sure think so...I make it now a point to ask for full medical disclosure before I touch ANYONE.

I also have fibromyalgia and I state it in my profile as therefore I am simply from "no use" for guys who are heavily interested into bondage. 2005 I was once tied up like a parcel (where I wasn't aware of having this condition. I mean I knew that I was in pain often but wasn't aware that this is not normal as for me it is normal since I was a teenager) and I didn't know at all at that time the impact rope - and particular so much rope - has on my body. For me this was like being in fire and I felt sorry for my playpartner that I almost went balistik with getting me out of it fast and parts of my body were stiff for hours afterwards. Therefore I point it straight out in my profile to avoid that guys waste their time and even more important to avoid that I waste mine. When I then get in touch with guys who are interested and want to know more about me at a certain stage I send them the link from one particular chat from the message board where many of us with this condition explain the impact, so that he can not only see the explanation from a medical homepage but from people in this lifestyle as well and often they do like the fact that they can see by that way how it works for others and how much or how little impact it can have.

I have a number of medical issues that I tend to be rather up front about. I choose to not put them in my profile because I feel no need to disclose to anyone and everyone. Everyone I feel a legitimate connection with is told, and quickly, as my conditions have a tendency to affect my interpersonal relationships, regardless of intimacy. This is what happens to work for me. Have people judged me on the basis of my conditions? Yes, and I am somewhat grateful for that fact. It is extremely time efficient when attempting to determine the caliber of a person's character.

I am a Dom who has ESRD which requires me to be hooked up to a dialysis chair 3x a week. I make sure I bring this up during initial conversations with any potential play partner.

as many have already stated, i do think disclosure is of the utmost importance. your life is in Their hands without these issues, so a Domme/Dom really has to know, in order to protect you.

I would be as honest as possible for your own good, imagine yourself in the shoes of a top, you really really do not want to be responsible for something that could potentially damage your play partner, but if you don't know the truth, then how can you avoid it?

Be up front with anybody you consider playing with and then follow it up, before you play with them, ask them what they think, what they plan to do, etc. In case you aren't happy with their answers, do not play with them, it's easier to find a new play partner than to get new kidneys!

I think full disclosure is the most important thing we can do on this site. There should be a place where we can report medical issues even if anonymously where an administrator can require proof of the existence or non-existence of a condition that can be shared. I was given a souvenier of my relationship with a member of this site and he lies to people about it and it is something I can prove and would like to warn others about. It is permanent and ugly but not life threatening. How can we report such a person and get a warning out? I understand laws and requirements, but since this is a community we should be doing something to protect it.

thankfully i'm lucky and don't have such serious health issues. I myself disclose all but one issue right away, and that issue is one that no one but two close friends and Master know about.

I have atresial microtia which means i have no right ear at all, no hearing mechanism behind it ect. so I'm legally deaf on that side, along with that comes a heart murmur, a cleft palate, and bones that break easily, chronic ear infections and sore throats as well as an inner ear imbalance which means i'm a royal klutz.

I also have an ulcer which flares up from time to time, metal allergies, latex allergies, allergies to pollen. some food allergies such as being lactose intolerant and my body can't break down meat protein and allergies to several medications such as benedryl, dimatap, and pertusses (whopping cough vaccine and it's now in the new tetenus shots) oh and i have TMJ, which means the joint in my jaw tends to swell and cause pain in the side of my face/ear which limits my time in gags as well as the cleft palate as i can't breathe well out of my nose.

other than that i tend to be fairly healthy except i go from colds in the winter to allergies in the spring and summer so rarely do i not have a cough or a runny nose.

These things i give full disclosure about because they do limit some play or at least the intensity. though being deaf in one ear does have its advantages. As i said, there's only one issue that few people know about, but i do disclose that fully if there's a possibility of a relationship going further than just aquantences or friends.

I have to chime in on the full disclosure side of things. I don't need to know what the specific ailment is. But I do need to know its full impact during negotiation, not some time later. I always ask about medical conditions that could impact play when negotiating. If I play with someone and find out they didn't disclose something, I won't play with them again.
