he says he is ready and I would like some more information on how to proceed. I have handcrafted a ring for him to wear as a symbol of ownership. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Alright. So HE's ready for a collar.

Are YOU?

Are you ready to make that commitment? How do you define what kind of commitment a collar is to you? Are you both on the same page with what a collaring means?

Views on how deep a commitment a collar varies widely.....in general though it's thought to be a reasonably serious commitment. I've had boys who thought they were ready for a collar after a first date, which I found somewhat annoying I'll admit LOL...I tend to look on collaring as more or less on par with a marriage....it's a very formal commitment to one another.

If you're both on the same page and it's a commitment you both want..."how" you collar him depends on you. A simple "Kneel bitch" and snap it on is one way or a full out party akin to a wedding reception with all your kinky friends at a local bdsm club is another. It's your collar. You decide.

i'm sorry. just kinda something i guess "I" just decide...w/o any qualms.....
maybe i am TOO independant? i know Mistress says She has-to-think on several issues and "I" just call-em-off-the-cuff as i fly by.
"I" was TRAINED early in childhood and in bootcamp ya just take what information ya got, and decide...johnny on the spot.

i hope you get it figured out. i know "I" HATE waiting for decisions. i dunno. just seems either ya know you can get-along or some one just moves on.

just my sideways feelings on it.

castlerealm.com has a rose ceremony that is along the lines of a wedding/ bonding ceremony.

I would however agree that just because HE's ready to me isn't the final answer. The question is ARE YOU? To me a collar is along the lines of engagement/ adoption as you are symbolically showing the world that you will care for & be responsible for this person. Flipping the tradional coin are you ready to give an engament ring to this person? Just something to think about.

Actually, this description is pretty darn close as to how I knew I was ready to collar my sub of seven months. Inquiring as to if he was ready, that he could say "not yet" never occurred to me.

and yes i guess THAT...IS..a reasonable answer if he did say that. i just am too anal i guess from my background that if there is something i want.."I" do NOT hesitate. but i GUESS i can kind of partially understand his wanting to wait. maybe inner fears? inner issues? whatever. he IS human. what do i know? i'm just a heads up move forward do what i wanna do right or wrong go for it kind of guy.. full steam ahead and be damned the torpedoes......

ahhhhhhhhh welllllllllllll i am guilty. i just do not........believe in waiting. life is about taking risks in MY eyes. it isnt that life is too short. it is because being dead is SO damned long. and ya DONT get a 2nd chance. grab the gusto when ya can.

make it up as ya go along. yes. it is how MY Ms and i do it. She is newer to this than "i" am,..since She has never had a boy before and i have had 15 months real time...plus several try outs short time.
"I" met one domme for a weekend that said SHE ..CANT handle 24/7...

go figure.
