I have always been interested BDSM movies and films, done by amateurs,
and in future maybe acting myself on film ...

i am interested to know how many people you need to do your own BDSM movie?

do you need extra camera-man, for example if you have SM session with your Master,
and like to have that filmed you need one person for having camera right?

And is it interesting having real plot - like scenes before SM sessions or just torturing and
sex sessions with your Master,... ofcouse you could have two girls with Master,...two girls with
several men,... *smile*

and can you turn those film(s) commercial and yearn some money from them, how to
do that? yes you need contacts? in porno industry or can you start with your local town Sex/SM
shop and offer your home videos or just to try distribute them via Internet?

Just a general caution though that anything you put on tape can come back to bite you in the butt in an unpleasant way.

Personally I allow nothing other than polaroid photos and when a submissive moves on, I offer those to them to do with as they like so they can feel as safe as possible. No one has ever taken them from me though; guess they feel safe with me even when things end.

Status: offline 		First of all, unless you want to just set up a video camera and have static, motionless scenes, a camerman is a necessary part of the amateur video mix. Can you make money at it? Yes, if you get good. The biggest problem is interest. Can you produce something that will actually interest an audience (just because it interests you doesn't mean it will have the same effect upon others). And, yes, a script of some sort is necessary. Few people have the ability to pull off impromptu scenes with any panache and acumen. Watch movies. See how the story line is advanced. I encourage you in this endeavor. Just be aware it's a larger undertaking than you might imagine. Best of luck.

We have made many over the year's. For our own personal viewing. Never had a camera man yet....well at one party we did. Essentially the camera is on a tripod. It isn't professional but it doesn't need to be we have never cared to make money off our personal business before.
I know a guy who films every scene he has with his fem dom. Enter their bedroom and you are entering a professional studio. His doesn't look much better than ours.

As far as selling them I know of many amateur videos on fetishauctioneer.com
Usually they are better done than any truly professional video.

Status: offline 		You can make a film with just two people, but ofcourse quality aint gonna be that great.
At minmum you should have at least one extra person to run the Camera.
Much depends on the quality of equipment and what quality you would like the finished film to be.
You can make a descent film with just a good quality digital cam and a sound pickup. You can alos get a 16mm cam a sound board and boom mic, and etc etc..

Probably the tuffest part in the begining is lighting. You may hjave to play around quite a bit before you can get it looking good. There is no reason however you have to go spend a fortune on reflectors and such....hell tin foil, white sheets and other things work just as well....sound is another issue. But usually if your cam has a port to attach some sort of pickup/mic your ok, and if it is realy a descent cam the mic on the cam its self may be alright.

As for selling them after you make um....well your best bet is to market them yourself. You can go to a local adult book store or whatever and probab;ly find someone who will do it, but your not gonna make squat that way. Most likely they will buy it outright , and then you have no say at all waht happens to it. It is not difficult to set up a web site and get a few boxes/dvd cases printed up
To seel themn however you will have to file all the appropriate paper work required for your area, and any paper work required to sel out of state.
If you google this stuff you will find all info you need.

As far as plots, and all the rest....hell make what would turn you on.

If you are going to do this, don't put it on the net..keep it for private use. If the relationship dissolves, for whatever reason, make sure the movies are destroyed or make sure they are not given away or put on the net. I have had profiles found by an ex-husband, a pic found by a friend <thank goodness I was fully clothed> and another friends family found his and his wife/slaves club website by accident. His father is a preacher..They aren't speaking now. So be very careful..

Status: offline 		Some 22 years ago, when it was not so common for people to have cameras and all equipment at their homes, my first husband found it amusing to record on tape our sexual activities. (I must admit I am pretty loud one when it comes to that )

So, we were moving from one place to another and my parents helped us and so on and so on, and that tape got misplaced somehow...... the point is that some time later I was driving in a car with my Father and suddenly he got out a tape and put it in a recorder - "I found this one of yours and it has no label, but we may hear some good music". And of course, it was the one.
I was never so embarrased in my life. And my Dad actually didnt say a thing, he just switched off the tape recorder and started to talk about something else.

Just a warning...... you never know.

In some countries, BDSM cannot be combined with any actual sexual activity (ie Pentration of any opening). So I would check out the legality. I myself have never found a video with BDSM and sexual activity, not that the two have to be tied, but it's what floats my boat...

There is a company in city neighbouring mine who started filming (general) porn in his basement. He is now quite successful. It is my understanding his marketing was done primarily over the net, he was then "picked up" by a distributor.

My advice for adult films... Make sure that the stars feet a clean (watch a porn and look at the girls' feet, often dirty), sound off a camera mike is often poor and tinney. Invest in a mike and tie it to a broomstick (insta boom).. :)

In the US, it's not a "law" but prosecutors have found that the combination makes it a lot easier for them to get a conviction. For this reason, most distributors shy away from combining the two. I got this information from a conversation with an old friend of mine, Bill Majors, who ended up spending time in prison for distributing "pornography."

As a person whose started his own internet news broadcasting company, I can tell you that good, plentiful hardware can compensate for lack of helpers. And YES there is still good money to be made in fetish regardless of bush and his government croonies.

Send me a private message if you're interested in hearing the "low-buck" way to video production and distribution. There's too much for me to get into here. However, odds are if you're asking us then you're a long ways away from doing everything yourself. Mebbe you should find a nearby porn production company?

mystictryst: you are correct about the law, United States is one of them. You can't combine sex with any type of non-consensual play. The US basically defines it as rape, regardless. ~R~
