Zephyr46 -> A Male Piercing Question (4/4/2008 5:43:48 AM)

This is about how to stretch an existing piercing to accomodate a larger piece of jewelry. Most of the websites I have researched talk about the different sizes but don't say much about how to get to these sizes.

A couple of years ago, I got a Prince Albert Piercing.
I started small with a 14 gauge captive bead ring and as time went on, worked up in size to 12 then a 10 gauge.
My ultimate goal is to get to an 8 or perhaps a 6.

I know that there are tapers that help do the task of stretching a piercing but they are temporary.

Has anyone had any experience using two pieces of jewelry in the same piercing to provide the same result? (for instance the smaller 14 added to the existing 10 gauge ring then after a time switching to a 12/10 combination?)

Use the taper, then put in the larger peice of jewelry. KEEP it in for at least a couple weeks. Shower daily, anti-bacterial soap... you know the drill. Worked for me when i increased mine three sizes up so i could wear the pretty ones i kept seeing.

I stretched my PA quite quickly, just keep going to a larger size every couple of months.  The taper will help get the larger one in if you have any problem.  I also used the services of a cute female piercer.  She liked stretching things to make them larger.

DO NOT put two pieces of jewelry in to stretch - I did this years ago with my earlobes & it makes the skin easy to tear - I almost split my earlobe in half.  Check out bmezine.com (especially the encyclopedia area)........you can also order tapers there - OR you could go to a tattoo shop, they usually don't charge much for stretching, it would be your safest bet.
