Tahiti is good, here in Florida is good, a ski trip could be good. We just need to have a convention! But first we need to designate, or get the "self proclaimed" Queen Bitches from all the other regions!

Well, considering Florida is getting yet another hurricane, I'm gonna vote for someplace with a little less likelihood of our being drowned. Like maybe North Dakota. [&:]

But where are the rest of the Queen Bitches? Surely we're not the only two! Come on, ladies! Sound off!

FLButtSlut -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 9:01:05 AM)

Ah, but Florida in January is not looking at hurricanes!

I agree, where are all these other "bitches"? And isn't it somewhat interesting that we two are willing to proclaim it and are of the sub/slave persuasion?

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 9:07:09 AM)

*shrug* My values are such that being a bitch is not something to be proud of or positive. But I do consider being a slut to be something to be proud of and positive.

In fact (especially when I top) I work hard to be able to be authoritative and effective without having to be bitchy or mean.

Life is hard sometimes and sometimes you do have to get hard with it. But being "a bitch" or a "queen bitch" is not something I'd want to be referred as or perceived as.

JustaTop -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 9:12:16 AM)

So exactly what defines being a bitch anyhow?

Being ornery and contrary? And how is this a GOOD thing?

Evanesce -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 9:37:24 AM)

Well, you see... there is a difference between being a bitch, and being a Queen Bitch. A bitch is simply someone who is... well... bitchy, whiney, spoiled, contrary, antagonistic... I could go on, but I think you get the point.

A Queen Bitch, however, is above all that pettiness. I refer to myself as a Queen Bitch when dealing with slaves and submissives in my control because, to them, I am the ultimate authority. I give them what they need, and they always return for more, but I am also absolute in my demands of them, and I do not tolerate slackers and complainers. I expect to be obeyed, and my word is final. In a somewhat haughty, regal sort of way.

When involved in a scene, the male submissives I play with tend to like that persona a great deal. Somehow, they seem to feel it makes me "more worthy" of their worship.

It's interesting, because I had another dominant friend of mine and two submissive males over helping me work on Master's dungeon. As we were installing vinyl on the floor of one room, my friend commented on a way she thought would work best to get it in straight, and one of the men suggested something else, after which I then stated how it was going to be done. No discussion or dispute followed... no one disagreed with my method, I told each person what they needed to do and when, and the floor was laid perfectly. The other submissive said, "Well, I guess we know who's in charge here, don't we?" THAT, to me, is what being Queen Bitch is about... having your word obeyed without question.

Very interesting, indeed. Although I do also consider myself dominant as well (as does everyone else who knows me in person).

FLButtSlut -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 9:37:36 AM)

The term "bitch" tends to be applied to women who have a strong sense of self and are assertive and vocal in working towards achieving their goal.

For example, often women who succeed in the business world by aggressively maintaining their position in the same way that a man would are often labeled "bitch".

From THAT perspective I am proud to be one. It is not based on being onery or contrary, but rather having the guts to fight for what you believe in.

On the other hand, my identification with the term slut (for my personal meaning) is someone who enjoys a variety of sexual activities or enjoys sex with great frequency, not necessarily a great number of partners. Certainly not the typical view of the term "slut" which tend to indicate someone who has little or no discrimination with whom they engage in sexual activity with. THAT is not someone I would consider proud or positive.

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 9:54:30 AM)

Exactly, the possession and melioration of words is a long venerated process. The same reason when blacks call themselves niggers, they take it on as a positive power symbol for themselves as a way to promote their own confidence, prevent others from using it against them, and, eventually, transform the widespread perception.

Some subs LOVE being called subbie, I can't stand it. We all have our own quirks and values.

MstrHellsFury -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/6/2005 10:51:48 AM)

generalizing the reasons why blacks call themselves niggers...this is walking a very sharp double edge sword...(although I do love edge play)...for some reason...I for one...have never refered to nor will I ever refer to myself in such a term...I don't see..and I guess I'll never see this as a positive symbol of power...my power is in my person...it's in what I do..how I conduct myself...and the grey matter that sits above my neck...sorry but I don't buy that part of your statement...but then again...I elevate myself about the sterotypes that seem to prevade some and the knowledge that's spewed out as fact...it's just my opinion and it may as well be fiction...who listens to me anyway...oh I guess that's my slaves position...therefore...preach on...I'm all eyes...(can't hear...can only read the posts)

Well I never said it's the ONLY reason this happens, or that ALL black people do it.

quote:

have never refered to nor will I ever refer to myself in such a term...I don't see..and I guess I'll never see this as a positive symbol of power...my power is in my person...it's in what I do..how I conduct myself...and the grey matter that sits above my neck..

The same reason I don't see bitch as a positive symbol of power, but I DO see slut as one.

sorry but I don't buy that part of your statement

Which part exactly?

ES...you've been around these posts a long time...you should know I'm not even going to come close to starting any kind of war on words with anyone...least of all you...the simple fact is..in the world in which I live..and the one from which I've come...the simplistic statement is not a one size fits all...and anyway...isn't it about time you heard from the silent one...at least now you can say...that dag gum Fury...why'd he say that crap...lol

And my statement was not a simplistic or generalized statement that tried to make any such assertion.

Sure. I think that Denise would agree, the "Queen Bitches" is for all women who see themselves as strong confident, take no crap women.

I used to see myself as full of doubts and dilemmas, not as far as strong as I wanted to be, and taking a lot of crap from others.
I was totally shocked when I realised that other people see me just as quoted above. And as time passes by even more and more so.

Anyway, I am a Queen in my home and The Really Nasty Bitch sometimes (like when I am ill or in the bad mood). Suppose that makes me Queen Bitch too [:)]

i totally agree with this...also i've heard some Dommes referred to as Dommies...which, a) sounds too much like mommy....and b) makes it sound as though the Domme is about 12 yrs old....ycch on both counts, imho.

Yup, I'll go with that. Welcome to the club!

Does this mean we have to come up with a secret handshake or something now? [:o]

ChereeAmoor -> RE: Queen Bitch (10/7/2005 5:39:41 AM)

The only times I have been called a bitch were when:

I made someone stop to think, and they realized they were wrong.
I refused to do something the other person wanted me to do.
I defended myself, verbally or physically.
I got promoted, and the other person did not.

You see a pattern? I sure do. The word "bitch" is seldom applied as a compliment. Words like "slut" and "nigger" just sound ugly to me as well. Sure, there is talk about how people are reclaiming these words by embracing them, by using them, but I am puzzled as to WHY anyone would want ugly-sounding words to belong to them in the first place.

It takes away the power for other people to use it against them, today and in the future. It turns it into a positive word, it allows us to use language in ways we find fits us best, not ways in which other people define.

But language is fickle, I can understand that some people find bitch to be positive, but for me it isn't.

I enjoy using the word cunt, but others find it an ugly bad wrong word.

For the longest time, (when I was small) I did not know what 'Nigger' meant.. when I asked my black mom, she said hunny that is not a word that should come out of that sweet mouth of yours. She said saying that was a kind of swear word to her. She said the word 'nigga' was different and that that word to her just meant that she was dark skinned, strong, and confident. As I have grown up I have found that their are many ways to describe someone and it all depends on how that person perceives it.
Strength is in each and everyone of us, how we bring it out and show it is up to us.
When someone calles me a 'bitch' or 'slut', I say thank you for finally noticeing.. but if someone calles me dumb or stupid.. then well 'them theirs fighting words'
It is all in the eye of the beholder.

can i be part of the club??? please please please?? lmao [;)]

i dont know if i'd say being called a bitch is a positive words persay, but i dont think its always an instult. i for one am constantly called a bitch by many, mainly because i dont take crap from people, im bossy about getting things done on time and right the first time, and i just have a bitchy attitude. hell, when i was with my ex fiance, i'd call him Bastard (he is a bastard in the actual sense of the word, and just a jerk sometimes) and he'd call me Bitch. neither of us took offense to it because we both knew it was true lol.

i think ive gone a bit off topic now, so i'll shush lol
