I think by unusual, the OP means stuff that perhaps you've never heard someone else do before, or never found someone else into it.

For me, an "unusual" kink would be for my sub to be completely blue, head to toe(not from suffocation or anything, more like body paint). It's a geek thing really. Star Wars gives one strange ideas of beauty sometimes.
