i dont believe in this.... there are plenty of people who are destined to be alone for life its just a fact.  there is not someone for everyone.  that is a crock.

Ain't that the truth!  I know a ton of people who just sit ALONE in their own houses or cramped studio apartments, watching television, and masturbating to internet pornography.

Another friend of mine (no, I'm NOT making this up) is morbidly obese, and is actually balls deep in the process of arranging a "marriage" with a twenty-one year old Chinese girl.  He met the girl's aunt at work, and he's working towards putting away enough dough to take that fateful flight to the Orient.  There's alot of red-tape he has to work around, but he'll do anything to escape a life of bland, grinding loneliness and microwavable "Hungry Man" dinners.

I guess I just bond with alot of lonely people.

We just had a wedding at the office last week....... two older, grizzled guys pull up in a new 'Vette, and then two young, attractive Phillipino women pull up beside them.

Both guys, uh, "won the love" of these young gals, I suppose. Not at the same time, mind you. That'd have made me queasy.

Sometimes, I think that those guys might have the right idea! Marry one that can barely speak a lick of English, and she'll be happy just to get out of fifteen-hour workdays at the sweatshop (with no lunch-breaks of course).

I'm just kidding, guys.  I don't think that my "bigger" friend's idea is that great.  Maybe if he were older, and "needed" companionship, but he still  has a fair shot if he spends some time on the treadmill and away from the television.

Speaking of "treadmills", I've gotta head to the gym right now, before my bones petrify in front of this computer screen.

So you're saying that you don't have the guy "leech" radar?  I have some friends that have it.  Works the same way the chick "creep" radar works.  Something is just a bit "off" although it's hard to pin it down sometimes.  And you're right, I think alot of these people exhibit symptoms of Aspergers... they just don't pick up on social or emotional cues from other people.

I used to work with a guy who had the creep factor.  He told us one day that he was in love, and when we asked who it was, he said he didn't know her name, but she smiled at him from the next lane when he was about to get on the freeway.  And he was completely serious.  That was the first really concrete example I witnessed of the creepyness in action.  We all figured that she was lucky if he didn't follow her home and start stalking her.  A short time after that, he actually did say some very inappropriate sexual remarks to the company president's secretary, and he was let go.

Yeah........that sounds a hell of alot like my morbidly obese pal with the "mail-order bride".

I was gonna go to the mini-gym in my complex, but it's packed with about fifteen "bruthas" trying their best to simultaneously "spit game" to one huge, bleach-blonde girl on a stair-master.  It's just like one of those junior-high Sex-Ed videos that shows thousands of flagellating sperm trying to jostle their way into one huge egg.

Guess I'll have to wait until later.

Trust me, guys ... I'm not domiguy.  I used to be on this site as TreSwank, but now, I'm a couple years older, and in a serious relationship.  If you've got any doubts,  I'm sure you'll get a few hits if you type my former moniker in the "Search" section at the end of this page.

--Edited to add: Or not.   In any case Exhibit A.  Pay attention to the date.

Yes, that is TreSwank talking, not Domiguy.  I know them both, and their methods, and I will have to say Tre, that your two years of growing has sobered your mind a far piece more than I would like.

Nevertheless, good to see you.

It's the epilepsy, brother.  Now that I'm on anti-seizure meds, my wild drinking and fucking days are gone.  Besides, I needed something to bring me down to earth.  You can't be an irresponsible playboy forever.

Domi's accounted for... Are we like a church now?  Keeping track of CM's forum flock?

Kran; at first I thought your op was from a novel. And some of the other things you've written here have made me wonder; are you a writer, or are you just naturally lyrical?
Oh, and I have a friend who is an attorney; he never did meet the right girl here...he met a Vietnamese girl online, and brought her over here, and they are ecstatic. I met my HoneyMaster here at CM, and we are very happy also.
I also wanted to mention that sometimes people have to 'grow into' who they are. What may come across as weird or awkward at a young age may develop into sexy/quirky later. (don't ask...) *lol*
I think your friend will be just fine.

Personally, I hope that everything works out with "X" and his Chinese girlfriend.  God only knows that he's staked so much on this pre-arranged marital union.
