when i married my now ex husband, he had an african grey parrot...he picked up on everything, even could mimick the sounds of loading the dishwasher, it was kind of creepy. anyhoo, he got my voice down pat and would tell the kids to get ready for bed or brush their teeth, or that dinner was ready, all in my voice.
when we got divorced, the bird still talked in my voice and it drove my ex crazy enough having to listen to it that he finally sold it...i really get a tickle out of that whole story for some reason.
and yes, i talk to my cats all the time...and my plants too [8|]
