daddysblondie -> Electrical play with an iud?? (4/14/2008 12:40:35 AM)

I just got a mirena put in on Thursday. Over the weekend, Daddy was playing with the E Stim and was using a bullet attachment with it. We've never used it before so I don't have a frame of reference and i was wondering if it was at all possible/likely that the electrical current was interacting in some way with any wires/ metal in the iud??

A Mirena is made of plastic. There is no metal in it.

1) read up on the piece of equipment you've just had installed in your cervix.  http://www.mirena-us.com/index.jsp

2) don't be afraid to ask your doctor important things like this.  that's what they're there for.  call planned parenthood for all your questions if you're afraid of your gyno.  I call them for all sorts of random things.
