This is rather odd for me, but I have for the longest time over many years had this reoccurring dream of me giving myself head. Ok...now that I have picked myself back up off of the floor and wiped away the tears I think I can type again.

I don't put a whole lot of stock in dreams as I have had some pretty odd ones. Just the other night I dreamt that I was driving around with a friend of mine and got lost. Ok....so that could happen. I think that there isn't enough information to go on for a more considered answer.
Are you single? Serving? There are alot of factors that can contribute to dreams. Paste, present... family life - friends.

I do have to say, that after a previous thread on Posting with Claws Out - whilst its good to be able to make light of certain situations - I am just surprised at the response. Someone is asking a (seemingly) genuine and brave question - I am sure that the posibility of being felt like one is laughed at isn't particularly positive?

Here's something interesting for ya - I never have sex in my dreams. I get aroused - I can distinctly remember that - but the act never takes place. No foreplay, nothing. But after the arousal (in the dream) there is a sense of 'Ahhhhhh', like the act took place (in the dream) and the adventure continues.

I have no idea what this means, if anything. I think dreams are manifestations of a bunch of other things, since our brains retain things that we don't even know are there. Maybe the story you were reading before you fell asleep, or the show on TV.

A couple of years ago, my dreams changed. I went from remembering snippets to waking up recalling entire journeys. So I started writing them down. Now I can return to a dream I might have liked :) or find new inspiration for a short story. Try writing your dreams down for a while, then go back and read. Something might occur to you then.

It's very rare for me to have sex dreams. In the sex dreams I do have, I have sex maybe one in ten times. I almost always either wake up before penetration, or the dream turns into one of those frustrating "gotta do this first..." gigs, or the dream switches into something else.

The worst one was the dream where my mom had somehow gotten Bono from U2 for me as a graduation present and he was in bed and inviting me to join him. I said no thanks, that I was involved with someone else, and walked out. I hated myself in the morning for that.
