I posted this on another board asking about interview questions with potential mates. This is a question I ask on dates. It is a fun way to keep the conversation moving and to find out about core values, I think.

Its your last day on earth. There is a nuclear meteor something or other hurling toward earth. We know because the scientists know, attempts to change this course have been futile. There is nothing that can be done about it. The end is near. You dont have to worry about final details, loved ones left behind.

What will you do with your last day....12 hours on the planet?????

I think if i answered that honestly, the police would be called, and I'd be getting to know a lot of doctors in white lab jackets.

Pray..and spend the day hugging and cuddling with my kids. Plus, making a few phone calls telling my family and friends how much i love them.

Great question, and a toughie.

Post a goodbye and thank you to my friends here at CM.

Grill a couple of bacon burgers for me and my mom. Eat a shitload of chocolate. Hug her and tell her how much she means to me.

Tell the woman I love how much she means to me.

Listen to some music.

Take a dump on the porch of the neighbors that play their music too loudly.

Pray, and thank God for the life I've had.

Most likely here? Get beaten, robbed, raped and killed by the drunken halfwits who finally have absolutely nothing to deter them from their preferred purposes in life.

The irony is, that the only likely place of refuge for me against the terror here will be the Mosque, where good men will stand and resist such intentions. Shame theyre all Bangladeshis and only five feet tall. Still, we'd go down fighting.

I would do what I do every day - live for the day in hand.

Given that life is short, unpredictable and fragile I would assume that there's a reason and that I would move on to the right place.

But I'm not afraid of death and have no regrets in life.

I am no more than a drop of rain running down the window pain during a storm. This is my perspective.

Make a phone call to a few friends who have been closer than family over the years. Get them together and go for a hike. Rock climbing, not those sissy hikes everyone likes to go on. Something I actually enjoy.
Pack enough food to just hang out with the wilderness when the end comes.
